Was there a reason why Kellen was so predictable?

we blamed the playcalling when the victorious opponent came out saying they knew exactly what we were running that day, but meow that said playcaller is gone. It was definitely someone else’s fault.

I posted this many times. Romo played one of his worst games vs Carolina in 2015. That game ended up being his last real game in the NFL.
Romo at the time was a 12year pro and 9th year as the starter. Yet he was fooled into throwing 3 INTS vs a very good defense.

Carolina used a robber to fool Romo in to throwing 2 of the 3 INTS. He also got whacked in the pocket, getting his shoulder broken waiting for a receiver to get open. This was the second time in 2015 he got his shoulder broken.

Do you think Romo had issues with reading the defense? In his 12th year in the league? Do you think Romo sucked too? Mutiple QBs, multiple play callers, same scheme, same results. Maybe, just maybe there is more to it than just the QB.

maybe he wasn't as creative when he was here vs when he was hired some where else.

I'm taking this as word of mouth from people that understand film more than me, but Moore mixed moments of brilliance before going back to the "same old same old" every single week.

The Cowboys constantly ran curl and comeback routes all season. Very little variation. And we wonder why Dak had so many picks and tight window throws. The Cowboys desperately need speed at receiver, granted, but at the same time they also need to run something defenses can't just expect and sit on.

I guess Cooper Rush was just that good, and dak pretty much sucks. That according to the Moore haters.

It does not matter if It was Daks fault and not Kellen ......... we are stuck with Dak so the only hope we have is find a offense style he could win a big game in ......... and Kellen was not it.

Kellen will probably be great with Herbert ........ we need someone who can hold Daks hand to victory.

Yet, when Romo was here he made posts about Garrett. Smh you don’t have to butt in the question was rhetorical.
And he was right about the suckiness of Garrett. That’s why he was out of NY in a year and is now sitting behind a counter on a stage.

Was there a reason why we were so predictable, was there a reason why Kellen didn't call certain plays for dak, have dak throw it deep more, why we use so many curl routes, etc etc? We have a lot to say about him, but is there a reason why he was so limited in doing what he did? Please give your thoughts!
Most are predictable. Usually the most common routes thrown are what the qb likes but were not in the room to know that for sure. Seems gallup wasnt healthy enough to run downfield as much as before. They liked hiltons speed but maybe not his size so he didnt get many targets. I heard romo liked those routes too, maybe why linehan called them alot here. Were see just how much thungs change with guys who have done nothing for this offense in 3 years. Maybe now mike will learn some plays.

Flim don't lie......failure of in-game adjustments......
You can make up your fictions as you wish. But 4th quarter scoring should speak to in-game adjustments.
Dallas 4th quarter scoring
3rd in in 2022,
6th in 20211
2nd in 2019

I told you guys Dak can throw deep on his early read. But when the RG is no longer as good as it was, and no longer forcing teams out of zone, Dak would have to anticipate and he’s complete garbage. Teams took away the deep ball on the outside on the go routes, which he used to get away with with guys like Gallup, who Dalton also could find.

A lot of the routes to counter this from Moore was short crossing routes. Just look at the passing chart for Dak against the Eagles.

Pretending Moore didn’t adjust for Dak is nonsense.

Dak’s limitations were eventually going to be exposed when facing good defenses. You always see flashes of horrid play from him, even against bad teams.

scheme forced on talent or lack thereof on the field.
Quite the opposite. Dallas is praised around the league for creatively maximizing all its personnel:

-A Lineman (sometimes two at once!) used as back or tight ends
-3 Tight-end sets all the way to 5 WR sets

Your words are like snow that melts the second it hits the ground. Nothing there.

Formations basically, there tendencies change each game. One game they PA, next nothing. There was also times where they sold out for a specific run/pass. At the least have a D think what's coming. Ex.. Playoffs Dallas going empty set on a 2nd and 2. I'm not questioning to pass but at the damn least get a damn RB in there so the D can think a run is coming.

Same reason Jason Garrett was. What was the common denominator?

.......you counting the games we made "cosmetically" better.....that became known as "empty calorie" games for Dak and should be known the same for the beloved former OC?

the answer to that coogi will be apparent with the chargers this coming season.
if he is the same and chargers look like cowboys then he is a boob.
if the offense looks different, and works good, including into the playoffs then it wasnt him.
Will he be better at using the run game? that is a key for him, as he was not very adept with the run in dallas.
