Watched Michaels in Preseason

He fumbles more than Murray and I've heard he's not a good pass blocker. Seems to be more of a project than an immediate solution.

You've heard he isn't a good blocker. ......maybe you should watch him before making assumptions

For those that haven't seen it yet Michael's is listed as #30 on the dc.com roster.

I think Michael is just what we needed -- a guy who can run between the tackles when the other team has a pretty good idea that's what we're going to do; a guy who is hard to bring down and is more likely than not to fall forward and grind out an extra yard or two at a time when every yard counts and first downs mean everything. He has to hold onto the ball, though. That is Job One.

his job one is to pick up blitz on passing down. He catches ball well and is ideal 3rd down back. for now.

well, if only pre season was the regular season, this team would be filled with warriors. Lets just see how he does first. I think we have pretty much swept out the Dunbar fanatics, now I have new ones. When does it end?

I live near Seattle, and most Seahawks fans I know had a love-hate relationship with Michael. They hated the fumbles and the fact that he struggled with the mental aspects, but they also loved his ability to run the ball. When the Fred Jackson news broke, they were trying to figure out what the Seahawks would do with Michael. They thought Seattle would try to trade him, but they were afraid that he would go someplace else and finally live up to his potential and be "amazing."

Well then they should be scared seeing him in a Cowboys uniform.

Anytime you add a young player who was playing behind a great player which limited their opportunities you could end up with good player. Michaels should get more of an opportunity with the Cowboys hopefully he'll step up and take advantage of it.

Yup, this guy is a lot like Lynch. Even acts ghetto like Lynch. All good to me if he tears it up on the field. I actually like his nastiness/attitude on the field. Will be demoralizing to other teams who can't stop the run. This guy is the type that can go off when given holes and then punish tacklers... Just like Lynch.

This is spot on. Love hate relationship.

I watched every play he was in on, and let me say -- he's got something.

He's a very good runner. Busted a few big plays. Surpisingly quick. Rarely brought down on first contact. Nice spin move and juke in hole. He was used on quite a few 3rd and 2 or the like and got every one. He needs the play blocked. There were quite a few plays where he was met at the line or behind and can't really do much. But he always fell forward.

His pass blocking is WAY better than Randle. Seemed to always know which guy to pick up. He lays wood. Has a tendency to throw shoulders and lose technique, though. On a couple, just his presence led the blitzer to get scared and give up.

Fumbles could be an issue -- he put the ball on the gound twice. But I did see him switch hands a few times and at least one fumble was when he had it on the right side. So, i think that complaint is overblown.

He will be our short yardage back. If one of the other guys get injured, I could see him taking over and never looking back

Thanks for the info.

Surely you are speaking about the Seahawks. Because if you are speaking about the Cowboys, Murray is not on the team any longer. And there is not a GREAT player in the running back stable they currently have.

People will have opinion or form one for what their agenda is, if they have an agenda. Some do some don't.
Lol.

I was content with seeing what our RB's could do. However Michael is now a Dallas Cowboy.
I will support and root for him. Rather he is a role player for what ever they use him for, or if he becomes the bell cow.
What ever helps us win.
I will form my opinion from seeing this on the field, just as I was wanting to see the other 3 on the field too.

Any reports, otherwise I will not take into account, as their seems to be a variety of them either good or bad, blocks and blitz pick up or not. I will wait and see.
Maybe in Linehans system he will get a chance to have a breakout type year / performance if given the chance.

I was talking about the Seahawks and Michaels playing behind Lynch.
