DJ Reed, CB: "Formed a dynamic duo w/ Sauce".

Outside pass rushers: Lawson(7 sacks), Jermaine Johnson(tons of talent, should come around in his 2nd year), Will McDonald(1st round rook who should be disruptive), and quality rotational guys in Bryce Huff and Michael Clemons.

This stuff is incredibly easy to look up. It's grossly inaccurate to base analyses on name recognition.

Boyhowdy, if that ain't the truth. It is by far the biggest problem on this board. The personal attacks are frequent.
 
several things…
I think the eagles d was a bit overrated last year and they lost more than people realize in this past offseason. They couldn’t stop our offense or KCs. Had they not gotten the all time easiest path to the SB, not sure they even make it.
I can’t commit to saying our defense will be near the top just because we added Mazi. No idea if he can even play at this point. We did improve slightly in the secondary for sure.
Commanders have a decent D bc their DL but their LB corps and secondary have holes.
No argument with someone ranking the NYJ at the top.

Jordan Davis + a year of experience, Nolan Smith, Jalen Carter.

I know there are definite question marks, but they may turn out to be even better than last season. Hard to call a 2nd ranked D overrated.

Possibly….but That’s exactly why I’d call them overrated….they didn’t stop teams when it mattered. Kinda like why people say Dak and Romo are overrated, they didn’t get it done when it mattered.

You think their defense is better than San Francisco, Dallas and Philadelphia? I don’t. Good defense I will admit but best in football I think not. Chuck Clark tore his ACL and he is their best safety. I would take my chances with the three NFC defenses. By the way Washington’s defense could take a big step this year if Young returns to form and Forbes has a big rookie season.

I think it does get fatiguing with all of this but I also see a lot of members love a good cyber scuffle.

And my favorite play of them all is the threat to ignore a member. "OK, that's it, you're in real trouble now".

I just wish we had a lot more ladies on the forum with some bad attitudes because they fight better and funnier than men.

Teams that confident they’ll score points build a defense to best stop opposing offenses that will often be playing from behind. Each team has a plan, not all the same plan. Comparing teams’ defense in July is a waste of time.

Nice post - I obviously get to see a lot of Jets games and they have a very solid D.

Got 1 "star" player on each level in Quinine Williams, CJ Mosley and Sauce Gardner surrounded by a nice amount of solid and young players.

It was the lack of offense they didn't help them.

They did.

Only KC. And it's often the case when two juggernauts meet, that O's and/or D's get run over.

Think about Cincy the year before. How did they make the super bowl? By holding KC to 3 pts in the 2nd half.

Close one. It all depends on how the youngsters turn out. Which, BTW, is also the case w/ us. The Jets had a better D than us last season. And to have the 4th ranked D w/ that clusterfudge of an O they trotted out last season was super impressive.

That doesn't really bother me. I got over myself a long time ago. I see it for what it is and call it out for what it is and what that person is trying to do.
