We beat Detroit because the Lions tried to be clever and confuse the Cowboys on who was reporting eligible and ended up fooling the refs. The Cowboys covered the guy they were told was eligible.

It's tough to say the Lions should have won simply because the lineman that wasn't announced as eligible to the defense was left uncovered.

And the tripping call that clearly wasn’t a tripping call.

Well first off just accept SB isn't going to happen in 24 with zero coaching or QB changes. Next step is to look forward to how far we can get. Otherwise, why watch at all. 30 teams each year do not reach SB and 31 don't win it every year.

This kind of went under the radar but Steele got a little better late this year. He needed time to come off the knee. And maybe they still see Tyler Smith as the LT to replace Tyron. Lot easier to find a guard than a franchise left tackle.

Not with McCarthy, I just don't see him good enough to win a coaching chess match, coupled with solid game management, and making sure the team is disciplined (very few penalties). In most Big Games, and certainly in the playoffs, he just doesn't have it.

I agree we have A LOT of work to do before we sniff a SB. My goal for 23 was NFCC game. I thought it we could reach that, we achieved our goal and anything higher was icing on the cake. We didn't and we have cap issues, so we are probably looking at a 9 win season coming with similar post season results, if any, unless we REALLY knock the draft out of the park. I still love watching this team week to week though as I have for over 30 years.

I also love watching this team. But I now have zero delusions we have any chance to compete on the big stage. It’s still ok, the team is fun and entertaining. Just like Jerry wants.
