We get a new coach, are we changing the offense?

I mean the Cowboys were number 1 in the NFL for multiple seasons in a row. That was also during the dark period where they lost every single game that they didn’t score 30.

For context on how weird that is Mahomes, Brady, Allen, and Lamar all had highly rated offenses but had multiple games a year where they won 17-13 or 9-6 against the Packers, in the case of the Chiefs.

Having a great offense doesn’t mean they will be great every week. There are going to be week’s where the defense is going to have to keep a game close. That is just the NFL.
No they weren't. They just racked up points and yardage against bad teams and in garbage time against good ones.

We all saw it.

The offense has been trash for years.

I like how we can arbitrarily decide playoff teams are garbage teams. I find it fascinating. I get that people want 35 against everyone but against playoff teams sometimes you can get that and sometimes the defense has to win with 20-23 points scored. That’s what great teams do.

See Kansas City Chiefs with Mountain Mahomes.

Have you missed the past 4 years of implosions against good teams?

Dak was horrible in every one of those games.

The old outdated plays, concepts, designs that have been questioned for years now. Would a new coach be allowed to change the offense knowing Dak is the main reason why we haven't. It appears that we're doing what's best and most comfortable for him to thrive.

Would Dak be willing to learn a new offense, or is he going to say we have to keep some of the plays at least. This possible new coach better not come here being all nice saying the usual stuff "we love Dak we think he's been great for years, we don't want to change anything that's made him successful! Please give your thoughts on this

I'm pretty sure Dak and everyone else on the offense would welcome a modern style offense with more creativity and motion. The entire offense would benefit from a more competitive, creative offense. Who wouldn't like that?

If the Eagles keep winning probably will be Kellen Moore based on their already established relationship
That works both ways. Moore is very familiar with what Dak can and cannot do. He’s also very familiar with how Jerry Jones treats his head coach. The only way Kellen Moore would agree to become the Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys is if it’s the only NFL HC position he’s offered. Even then he may opt to be an OC with Philly if their new HC wants him or elsewhere. Head Coach of the Dallas Cowboys is one of the least, if not the least, desirable HC positions in the NFL.

I'm 50/50 on that

I would certainly hope so. The Ravens tailor their offense to Lamar, the Lions to Goff, the Bills to Allen, etc. It’s obvious you should tailor the offense to what your players are best at.
The Problem is Chokota is not good at anything except making excuses

That only works if we ignore the playoff teams they did not implode against. For example, last year the Rams made the playoffs and the Cowboys scored 40. The Eagles made the playoffs and they scored 33. The Seahawks were 1 game off and they scored 41. Yes there are going to be games like Detroit where they won 20-19 but the point is that you need your defense to help win games like that. So yes apparently "every" game does not really mean what you think it means. It means "he was bad against all the playoff teams as long as we ignore the ones he was not bad against".

Teams the barely creep into the playoffs don't matter. The league overall socks.

I'm interested in truly contending teams, and Dak falls on his face every time.

Without exception.

Probably would get a new system. Any coach wants his system and most would work with their QB to develop the system around his strengths.

They kept kellen's plays with Mike coming here, so I'm interested in seeing what will change

The Rams were in the divisional round, the Lions won their division (and were the 3 seed instead of the 1 seed only because the Cowboys beat them), and the Eagles were the 5 seed last year (so literally the top wild card). By all means keep trying to tell me these teams barely made it in because the actual results beg to differ.
