So there are rumblings about Bill Belichick still. I highly recommend people look at his Halloween pictures with the girlfriend. That guy isn’t coming back to grind 100 hours a week and win. He is finished. Probably too old anyway but he clearly is on another planet right now.

They kept kellen's plays with Mike coming here, so I'm interested in seeing what will change
They did because Mike wanted to but as time as gone on more of miles old stuff has been added. Our scheme is just too simple. When you can’t run you have 2 high safety all day and the only way to beat that is throw underneath and use crossing routes. We just send our guys straight up the field so safeties have an easy day

The old outdated plays, concepts, designs that have been questioned for years now. Would a new coach be allowed to change the offense knowing Dak is the main reason why we haven't. It appears that we're doing what's best and most comfortable for him to thrive.

Would Dak be willing to learn a new offense, or is he going to say we have to keep some of the plays at least. This possible new coach better not come here being all nice saying the usual stuff "we love Dak we think he's been great for years, we don't want to change anything that's made him successful! Please give your thoughts on this

You cannot coach someone to have talent or not be a dumb panic-riddled deer in the headlights player.
MM is simply the next Dak victim in line for the guillotine!!!

The real question is "Can Jerry simply allow a Coach to have some decision making?" I don't think so, we will see Kellen Moore as the next HC.
We should have kept KMoore.

Our OC is gonna get fired for this mess, and he doesn’t even get to call the plays.

No, he'll promote Zimmer to head coach and allow Schottenheimer to take over the offense and just tweak it a little to get through the season.

To answer the OP in the most general terms...
Any new offense we get still has the same guy executing it for the last 9 years.
Jerry's failed tenure as GM is 29 yrs. And who knows how many more.
Dak's failed tenure as QB is at 9 yrs and 4 playcallers. And now, at least 4 more years and a 5th playcaller.

Truly trying times.
The Dark Ages, err Dak Ages.
LOL

Go Cowboys!

What were the 21 years before Dak called? Again thats fine but do we blame troy for his ages after 1996? the Romo Ages? Just wondering how they are viewed not arguing for or against even...I call them all the "Jerry's Way" years because thats what they are...they have killed every QB that has been in them...

Post of the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it really that bad for him to try something new, I mean at least give it a chance, he's got to be tired of throwing curls, and lining up in the shotgun so much. Never mind, this is what he likes!!! Uhhhhhh
Hurts is on his third OC in three years. Since Dak is better than Hurts, according to many here, Dak should be able to adjust. I think that comes along with $60 million.

How about just answering how productive an offense was just last year and a runner up MVP performance and league lead in TD passes to...
Whatever this year's iteration is.
Did all the defenses just suddenly figure out all the so called curl routes?

Yeah, it's just the same scapegoat drill that Linehan, Garrett, and Moore fell victim to as well.
Now it's McFrauds turn. And I dont even like McFraud anyway so I could care less.

But the one basic question that it all boils down to is "Is it the play called or execution of said play?"

With 4 playcallers being fired to include McCarthy now we know who Jerry keeps on falsely believing in.
He's at 29 yrs and counting of failure.
Dak's "only" at 9. With 4 more to come.
Misery loves company.

One big problem is we have is penalties that put us in long yardage situations. That can take you away from the running game. However, the blocking upfront is terrible. We’re not getting it done upfront.
All teams deal with that, although we seems to have more than our share of pre-snap penalties. That is a lack of discipline.

We lead the league in penalties or come close to it most seasons. That’s an issue!

No idea, another good question is why for 28 years have we been told you need 5 all pro OL's to be productive on offense when no other team in the league needs this.....i have my guess that Jerald is trying to rebuild a team that can not be rebuilt after the cap..so he starts building it and then when the cap is low he remebers .."OOh damn i need a defense" and here we are....KC made a choice it was Tyreek Hill or Chris Jones...who would our GM have picked?

So, do not make it too complicated.
Keep it so the opposing team knows what they are doing, before the Cowboys themselves know what they are doing.
Yep, keep the offense remedial for Dak's sake.
