Pollard, Davis, Deuce and Luepke.

Cowboys will be fine with these 4 (1 being a FB).

If something happens (injury) or another veteran RB becomes available after preseason cuts, Cowboys can always pick up another veteran RB. Heck, don't be surprised if Zeke comes back (he would have to use another jersey #; maybe his college football #?) if he agrees to a veteran minimum deal of $4 mil/season or less as a part-time RB.

No need to panic. Cowboys will be fine at RB.
I'm not concerned about the current depth, and if they added a vet late wouldn't be upset about that either.

Keeping Zeke or other Vet FAs on the rolodex in case of injury or non-production is a good thing to have available.

We are deeper than some think already at RB and TE, and MM got some pieces that he needed.

He absolutely had to have one of the TEs in this draft that had the versatility like Schoon, had to have that blocking TE with hands and they were coming off the board fast.

Schoon wasn't a reach when he can be become a cornerstone in MMs scheme, and just because Schoon was an early pick doesn't diminish the value of Ferguson, Hendershot, even McKeon will be fighting it out with Green and Fant.

This TE group got deeper quickly.

A future 2nd round pick? Now you're working to the Titans favor. I wouldn't offer more than a 5th round pick considering Derrick Henry is scheduled to become a free agent after 2023, plus he's worn down and has lots of mileage on his treads.
As I said, if he leaves us then he signs for around 10m somewhere and we get a 4th round compo pick so a 5th wouldn't cut it. The 2nd round compo pick was based on the McCaffrey trade, he had a lot of mileage too but went for a 2023 2nd,3rd & 4th along with a 2024 5th. It's not cheap to push all your chips in.

The Cowboys NFL scouts, coaches, GM and front office are much more knowledgeable and informed than you or I. Big difference!
The Cowboys, NFL scouts, coaches and GMs are knowledgeable and informed, and they all passed up Vaughn until the sixth round.

I wouldn't do it. Not for that much. Crazy.

They possibly had it planned to understand Deuce Vaughn would slide down in the draft, thus be able to draft him later, especially with Vaughn's father being the director of scouts in Dallas and in the draft room with the whole front office and staff.

Titans are rebuilding and Henry has 1 maybe 2 elite years left.

Dallas should 100% be trying to get him.

We can’t keep putting big games in Dak’s hands and expecting a good result.
Agree…..Dak is better if he has a good running game….I think Henry would make that happen more than just Pollard and the rest.

I'm in the same boat.

I'm just saying if we are say sitting 8-1 and just need that bit more offensive firepower for us to be a real contender then that's probably what it would take (maybe a 3rd) and in that scenario, it is far more palatable than taking a swing right now.

Eh, there will be decent FA available now and after camps that can be picked for cheap and for no draft picks.

thus he was a 6th round pick. and doesn't mean he can't contribute. will he need to carry the load? no, can he contribute in 10 plays and about 4 or 5 plays a game. that's reasonable and acceptable. as long as that players brings a different dimention to the game.

btw, Brady was a 6th round pick.

Figure out a way to get Derrick Henry on this squad. I do NOT trust a duo of Pollard-Jones at the end of the season where defenses will be priming for a playoff run. Henry-Pollard would be built for December football.
I’d rather see them grab Cook.

First yall say rbs are a dime a dozen then we need 2 pro bowl backs. Cowboy fans something else
There's still some lingering zeke hate effects. For a couple years, Henry has been the darling of zeke haters. "look at Henry, if we only had HIM...super bowl baby!".

Instead of moving forward....they are still having trouble letting that go.
