Wilcox and Heath at safety...Both hard hitters and both are much improved..Heath's second interception would have probably won the game for us if not for the horrible penalty on Brown.

Heath is showing great ball hawking awareness..that's what we need back there.

Jones should of deflected the damn ball on that last pass by Rodgers..what was he thinking there?

we need a pass rush to really evaluate the CBs

Jones has been solid. He broke up a pass right before the Cook sideline catch (which Carr went too deep on in his zone). He's the least of my worries
I agree, I thought Jones was, overall, quite good this year, especially since it was only his second season. But that last play to Cook was an inexcusable disaster that ended up costing us the game. There's no defending that play, even if I like the player overall.

Same people that want HEATH starting likely wanted IRVING starting too.

You don't move Jones who helped you to the best secondary performance we've seen over a full season in a long while.
You resign one of Church/Wilcox and play them next to Jones with Heath as the 3rd safety.

CB you have Scandrick and Anthony Brown signed.
You can resign one Carr/Mo to a friendly deal or draft an outside cover guy.

You can ask Jones to play some CB in spots or as injury replacement but moving him their full time would destroy his game and turn him into a rookie again.
He does OK with tight ends, you probably can't use him on WR1.

We don't need hard hitters we need ballhawks. Ever since we drafted Roy Williams 31 I've watched poor safety coverage and decling interception numbers from the Cowboys safeties.

Heath is the best ball hawking safety on team, how sad is that?

I was thinking this today. He is basically a corner playing safety right now anyway. We can still use him to cover Yes if that is what his value is...Not sure that is true either.

He isn't the playmaker at FS we need.

Carr is the only one that makes sense. MO is not a starter.

He was a real arrogant scumbag in preseason interviews. I don't like the guy and I have no idea what he was doing on that last play. Neither does he. We did not draft him in the first round for him to play like this. How many turnovers does he have? 1? This upcoming season he can figure out what the **** he's doing or he can find another team to play for.
He does seem pretty douchey on his weekly spot on the Ben and Skin show. The way he talks to them seems more condescending than playful. Almost like he feels better than them. He's one of the only players they've had on their show I've gotten that vibe from.

How bout we draft a corner and keep our fs at fs. No way is Heath or Wilcox an upgrade over Jones at fs.

He is a solid corner.... not much better than claiborne.... i support a free agency corner signing? 2x our scouting department has fallen up short

as a safety he is a joke..

who is the best cb we can feasibly get in the draft? any real hope here?
how about free agency?

How about trading Romo for Revis and a 2nd rounder?

I think that does it for me.... Would be interested, for trolling or worse.

Byron Jones=Patrick Crayton
Pretty much

He does enough that we can't hate him
but not enough for us to really want him.
Upside is he is still really young, and does have the physical talent to be a top 12 cb in the league... but his entire life he has had someone to emulate... we need to give him a role model.... honestly Romo to the Jets for Revis + a 2nd rounder is my current go to move.

He can't play corner which is why he was moved to safety and it appears he can't play that position either. He gets fooled all the time and doesn't have the instincts to play safety. He looks like a JAG. He's a better broadjumper than a football player.

That is what happens when you draft workout warriors and not football players.

Heath and Wilcox are better in small doses and Wilcox isn't technically on this team right now either for next season.

Neither is Church.

Exactly, Heath and Wilcox are good backups that would be (and have been) exposed as starters. I thought Church played well this year because they schemed to keep him in the box, I would like to upgrade from Church but wouldn't be upset if they resign him on a reasonable contract.

The key is CB - I think Claiborne and Carr both come back, but even then they have to draft one more to join Brown and Scandrick.

I'm sorry, but if you cant cover freaking Jared Cook, then you dam well cant cover any teams WRs.
