ok fine, chances are great he would see it. Romo is not going to get healthier. One year with Buffalo or a few behind Romo with good time. Its still plausible.

They might be able to do both actually. If you keep Showers as a developmental guy and use him on ST, that is position flex. It's certainly not a given that they do this but honestly, we need all the help we can get with ST. We are awful and one of the few guys who has looked good on ST is Showers IMO.

Put him on the practice squad. If our special teams shows no improvement in weeks 1-3, and he's such a difference maker, then we can activate him.

No. If they claim him, it would be for his ST and his developmental stuff. Position flex is important to all teams. I think chances are probably good that he would make it to the practice squad but it's not a given.
