When a guy clearly isn't right and his performance is suffering as a result, I find it tough to go with the suck-it-up crowd. If the guy is hurt and still so much better than the remaining alternatives, sure we can weigh that a bit differently. Such is not the case here. DeMarcus is doing well to get on and off the field right now.
To suggest a course other than rest at this point is quite humorous from where I stand. The reasoning that Ware must go only because we can't afford to sit him I find to be just as amusing. That really isn't a solution because if rest is the ticket, I would much rather pull him for two games and gain a revived pass rusher going forward as opposed to the walking dead we have come to see against San Diego and Denver.
There is tough and then there is stupid. I don't put this on Ware because he is doing what any standout professional would do given the circumstances. This should be about what's best for the club and the player. Playing him in his current condition because the alternatives are nil isn't really a sound plan.
And the state of said alternatives is likely the result of shoddy planning.
