We Will Beat The Giants

If you dont count the total suck teams like the Browns, against anybody that is any decent I think we have the worst home record in the league.

Or at least it feels like it. I actually think we have a better chance of winning on the road than at home nowdays...........how F'uped is that?

It is definitely a mystery why the Cowboys play better on the road. Which means they will be 5-4

Lose to Giants-3-4
Beat Falcons-4-4
Beat Eagles-5-4

The Boys will not beat the Giants! Feel free to give me all the BS you want if they win. I doubt I hear from anybody come Monday morning!

How in the world is this a certainty when we beat them less than a month ago by a TD, in their building, with zero running game,an O-Line that was COMPLETELY putrid and Ogletree (of all people) running wild on the Jints secondary?

I'm not guaranteeing a victory by any means. But get real.

I think the Cowboys can win this game too. C&LF is right in that this is the kind of game the Cowboys get up for. We have to block though. If the Cowboys OL holds up, there will be plays to be made. Our defense has to play better too. It's not popular to criticize the way our defense has played for whatever reason, but getting no pressure on Eli and our DBs getting burned won't lead to good things against NYG. He'll take advantage of it. Last but not least, no special teams gaffes.

We can beat them.

The Giants are good, but they make mistakes too

The Giants are playing a lot better now then they were at the beginning of the year. It will take a very serious effort to beat them again. We can do it, but it's gonna be a tough one.

First of all, Vegas doesn't set the lines based on who they think will win and by how much, they set them based on getting equal bets on both sides. That means no matter who wins, they profit. If they set lines "begging people to take" one particular team, they'd go out of business.

Secondly, the public perception is that the Giants are a bazillion times better than we are, and yet we are favored to win. In no way, shape or form does that suggest they're begging people to take us -- anyone who believed the Giants are better (which seems to be everyone but the "blind Cowboys homers") would jump all over the Giants PLUS 1-2 points. Put it this way, if they took only moneyline bets and the odds were the same, would more people bet on the Giants or the Cowboys to win? And now Vegas is giving points to the people who would bet on the Giants? Yeah, you couldn't be more wrong -- if you believe that the Giants are the better team.

No. It's different with a popular team like the Cowboys because people just enjoy betting on Dallas. The smart betters will wait for the line to shift towards the Giants throughout this week. I suspect the line will move to 1.5 or 2 in favor of the Giants.

The public perception is that the Giants are a much better team than the Cowboys right now, but Dallas is favored by 1-2.5 points? The average better who loses will bet Dallas (popular team), but the smart ones will ride the NYG.

The line is early, and it will move in favor of the NYG, but not by much IMO.

With less than 50 posts and THIS is what you come up with??????

UGH, Welcome:rolleyes:

Judging solely on how each team has looked over the past few weeks, conventional wisdom says the Giants should have the edge in this one.

I think Dallas plays them close and I'm even leaning towards calling for an upset.

Reasons I like Dallas

- They seem to get up for big games against divisional rivals. The games they've "played down to their competition" were games against teams that aren't exactly marquee names. I think Dallas comes out focused with a chip on their shoulder similar to week 1.

- Ratliff is back. Ratliff had a very nice game yesterday and provided a nice push up the middle. We're going to need to get some pressure in Eli's face and Ratliff appears to be healthy and fresh.

- Another piece to the puzzle that we didn't have the first time around. A healthy Jason Witten.

- Pass protection has been better in recent weeks.

--------------------------------------------

Obviously the Giants will have a few pieces back in the fold that weren't available the first time around as well, which is why I'm not expecting Ogletree to duplicate the success he had back in Week 1.

We probably won't be fortunate enough to have Victor Cruz have a case of the drops again either.

Right now I'm going to say Cowboys 22 Giants 20.

I think the Cowboys will beat New York next week. here's why. Taking an opponent for granted. This has been something that has consistently happened with the Cowboys. They play an inferior opponent and play down to the competition. Then they go up against a team that at the very least matches their talent if not surpasses it and they play much better. You saw it in the first week when we beat the Giants. You saw it last week when we really should've beat Baltimore, and I believe we will see it again when we face New York again.

There's also gonna be a motivation factor in this football game. The Giants have yet to lose at Cowboys Stadium since it was built in 2009. They're a perfect 3-0. I'm sure everyone remembers Eli Manning drawing on the walls in the stadium after the Giants won the very first game played at the new stadium. Last season the Cowboys had a two score lead with about five minutes left and inexplicably lost the game. That game was the main reason they missed the playoffs. I don't think the Cowboys wanna let that happen again.

I believe there's gonna be a sense of urgency because they are at home and they haven't exactly been a dominate home team. Also let's not forget the schedule gets even tougher from here on out. After next week's game against the Giants the Cowboys will face teams like Atlanta, Philadelphia twice, Washington twice, Pittsburgh, and New Orleans. All formidable teams and all potential losses. They can ill afford to drop to 3-4. You could even argue it's a must win game.

One thing that will really help is the Cowboys will most likely be getting DeMarco Murray who has played very well in the first meeting against the Giants. If the offensive line can play like they did the last couple of weeks which I believe they will I think we win this football game. Just give Romo some time and he'll shred the Giants secondary. Hell the offensive line was having issues in the first game and Tony still torched New York.

Defensively obviously Lee getting hurt is a concern, but according to him it's not too serious so he should return. We just need to generate some pressure on Eli like we did on him in the first meeting and like we did with Cam Newton today. We finally got an interception. Morris Claibourne got the first of his rookie campaign. Hopefully there is more to come. Eli while a great player has been prone to knuckleheaded mistakes and if we get pressure we should generate some turnovers.

I doubt very much that the Giants will OVERLOOK the Cowboys ( an NFC east rivilary ) I dont think that will be the case whatsoever

I predict a 24-21 Cowboys victory. :starspin

I doubt very much the Giants will overlook and an NFC opponent
in a pivital division game.. NO way they "overlook" the Cowboys

It looks like as though they still struggle against QBs who has the ability to keep passing plays alive. If Romo can throw out of the pocket, I see some success. They still have to remain balance on offense.

I will say Dallas wins coming from behind.

It's going to be a good game.

Beating the Giants would make this Carolina game a lot more meaningful for me as well.

Its hard to say one team will DEF win, thats just insane... In my opinion the Giants are a better football team and they play very well in Dallas... However that dosent mean they are a lock to win.... IT will be a huge win if we win on Sunday...I think this team still has its' issues and most good teams will always exploit that and good teams will find ways to beat you if you make any mistakes...

IM looking forward to this game. It will be so sweet to beat them again.

Any game in the NFCE is close.

The Giants are way better than the Skins but that game came down to the wire.

I expect a good game and the team with the fewest turnovers wins.

Parity = it's gonna be a tough one. Any team can win or lose in NFL

Bad coaching = losing games

Poor player focus = losing games

Homefield refs (i.e. Baltimore, Seattle) = losing games

Also if Garrett plays it conservative and plays for FG, Eli will pick us apart.. WE need to get in the end zone or we have NO shot.... Also DO NOT give him the ball late in the game or let that team have a shot in the end because Eli WILL BEAT you.... He is THE VERY BEST QB in the league to have on the final drive of the game.... Thats all im saying, I dont mean during the game because Eli didnt play that well during the game, but put the ball in this guys hand on the last drive of the game, the game is over.... We HAve to score often and get in the end zone to avoid that situation

Our offense looks to inept. No way do we beat that team on Sunday. We've beaten a bad Carolina team (barely), a bad Bucs team (barely). We've gotten manhandled by strong willed, well coached teams.

This game is as big of a game as we've had in the horrid excuse for a stadium probably since it was built - save for the Eagles season ender and following playoff game in 2009. I just don't have confidence we will be ready this time around.
I like how you failed to mention our other victory.:laugh2:
