There are things like synergy, chemistry, momentum that you can't measure with Dak. I understand that in a vacuum Romo probably makes a lot more throws than Dak but add in the DL bearing down on him, does he not flinch like Dak? I doubt it at this point in his career. Also the moment he gets hurt, it's going to depress this team from the top to the bottom. Jerry do not F this up. This is Tom Brady, Russell Westbrook all over again. There are a few things Dak isn't able to do yet that he will do one day. Romo can do those things right now if he's healthy.
There isn't a wrong answer, which is the beauty of it.
And that's a fair point of view. I'm just saying, if they do end up officially making this Dak's team, it needs to really be his. There are a few things Dak isn't able to do yet that he will do one day. Romo can do those things right now if he's healthy.

Dak, I am not convinced that we get back the Romo of old anyways. If Dak starts to struggle, then make the switch. Imagine going into the playoffs with Dak leading and any sign of trouble.....insert Romo to the rescue
Lord knows I'm a huge Tony fan, and even I'm fully on the Dak train. It takes nothing away from how great Tony has been for this team.I'm not. Folks LOVE tony romo on here.
I'm okay with Dak continuing to start. There are things like synergy, chemistry, momentum that you can't measure with Dak. That's how I would have voted, bit since there wasn't an option I voted for Romo. I'm really torn. I have loved Tony since the day he took over the starting job. He has been my favorite Cowboy since the 90s teams, and sacrificed his body on teams that weren't built for him to have success. Dude has been a warrior and is the main reason we have won most of the games we have since he has been playing.Needs to be a undecided.......
Agreed and WELL said.........That's how I would have voted, bit since there wasn't an option I voted for Romo. I'm really torn. I have loved Tony since the day he took over the starting job. However I'm really excited about Dak and really want to see how he plays as the season goes on. I also hate the idea of messing with the groove we are in right now.its a tough call. Glad I'm not the one to have to make it.
This is the problem with this poor line of thinking....Tony is not going to come in with 2 seasons off at that point and rescue anything. Which is WHY this is my 3rd vote in a row for Tony.
Tony should be given 2 games, minimum in the regular season, and soon, to prove he still has it or doesnt. Lets not wait to find out in the playoffs.
I can't even bring up 2014 anymore in regards to Romo because he's had three injuries since then.I'm okay with Dak continuing to start.
He's been great.
But I think the 2104 team had this same thing going on, though the secondary was not as good as this year's version.
That team was also scoring at a higher per game rate while still turning it over at an extremely low rate. A LOWER turnover rate than they are this year, amazingly.
The question with Romo is health.
There's also the question of screwing with the momentum.
Which is why I used a ""
Romo should only be used in an emergency situation and that may not come until the playoffs, if ever. I don't think that Dallas should let him start "just because" in a couple of weeks. There is no logical reason to mess with the team chemistry at this point, Dak has rallied this team together and it is evident that they love playing with/for him.
Yeah. That's understandableI can't even bring up 2014 anymore in regards to Romo because he's had three injuries since then.
Tony has 10 years of chemistry with this team > Dak's 6 weeks of chemistry
"Chemistry" is intentionally nebulous, mostly because it doesn't make any sense and is used in an absence of logic. If Romo and the Boys beat Cleveland 34-3 does Romo then have chemistry? Does it mix with Dak's chemistry and become a new, unidentifed element at the end of the periodic table? And is Sanchez's chemistry the acid to its base?Tony has 10 years of chemistry with this team > Dak's 6 weeks of chemistry
That train already left the station a long time ago. I believe that if Dak were struggling we would have already seen Romo in Green Bay and certainly for the philly game.People need to relax on this, can we wait until Tony is fully healthy and cleared to go before we make this an issue.
