You're forgetting the saints have the worse defense in the league.. Eli had 6 tds against them then mariota dropped 4 on them also. Your forgetting you guys got destroyed by the panthers the following week, Newton had a career day

The Panthers are a damn good team.

The Cowboys aren't the Panthers. The Cowboys are a terrible team right now. The Commanders are a better team right now.

Which is why a Cowboys win wouldn't surprise me at all.

Where did I say the Commanders are good?

The Cowboys are that terrible. The Commanders are better.

That doesn't equate to the Commanders being good. If you can find that for me, I'll take back everything I said in this thread

The division right now is this

Mediocre to bad: Giants/Commanders

Awful: Eagles

Just terrible and no hope in 2015: Cowboys

Congrats, man. Happy for ya. Good luck with your mediocre to bad squad in the playoffs if they make it.

As awful as this season has been for the Dallas Cowboys and as ravaged by injuries that the Dallas Cowboys have been this year to our best players, the fact that skins fans think they should win this game easily even still is hilarious.

Atleast we have an excuse. The Commanders are bad and will be bad for another 20 years.

Lol there is no medicore team.. Saying we have no hope, you're clearly delusional.. Beating your team isn't impossible at all. We have been in every game this year other than the patriots and panthers. Just be happy Eli had an off day against you guys.. Funny thing is they almost made a comeback against that horrible defense

I don't think you have the ability to comprehend what I have been stating.

But yes, logically the Commanders are a better team, an even better team at home, and should have no trouble dispatching a Matt Cassel led Cowboys team with a host of injuries and problems (hell, just read the front page of this forum. You guys do a good enough job stating it)

Logic never applies in this rivalry. Which is why a Colt McCoy '14 MNF game happens.

Better..Good let’s not debate over semantics...it was nice chatting the exit is on the left. :starspin:

Sensitive folks today. I do get it, 3-8 sucks.

Deep down though, everything I put in my OP is well known by all Cowboy fans. Basically I summed up all of the threads on the front page. Written by a Commanders fan brings out a visceral reaction.

Best of luck, no more injuries and a good clean game Monday night. And if anyone has not done the VIP tour of AT&T stadium, highly highly recommend it. Can't emphasize just how fantastic the people who work there are and what a great time I had. Kudos to the Cowboys org.

I initially read the first part of your post thinking you were a Cowboys fan and my first thought was, "What are you worried about?"

From a Cowboys' perspective, there really isn't anything to worry about. If we win, hey, we're still in the race for the division. If we lose, we're one step closer to the top pick.

I hate to say this, but even though I'll watch this game, it's the one Cowboys game this year I'm not emotionally invested in. I really don't care if we win or lose. Without Romo, this team has a snowflake's chance in the Sahara Desert of getting to the Super Bowl. So, as far as I'm concerned, winning is mere window dressing at this point.

I'm more interested - AS A FAN - of improving our draft status, which means, in the immortal words of Bizarro Al Davis, "Just Lose, Grandma!"

It's like a win / win situation for us. We win, Giants lose, we are one game out of first place.
We lose, it is just one loss that keeps us at a better draft pick.

Right now we are in a 3 way tie to have the 3rd overall pick. We win, we will, or may be tied for the 6th to 13th pick, depending outcomes of other games of course.

SkinsHokieFan is at least trying. It's hard to get up for it though.

We'll see on Monday night how terrible each team really is. My expectation is both teams will demonstrate why they have losing records after 11 games.

If we win, that's hilarious.

Mark Brunnell. Jason Campbell. Todd Collins. Jason Campbell. Donovan McNabb. Rex Grossman. John Beck. Robert Griffin. Kirk Cousins. Colt McCoy. Kirk Cousins.

Off the top of my head all of those guys have started at QB for the Washington Commanders since Tony Romo took the reigns in Dallas on a steamy fall night against the Giants in '06.

No coincidence, besides the 2012 year (where Griffin out performed Romo, in part due to an NFL not ready for the read option) the Cowboys have had the better record since '06 (notable exceptions '10 when both teams were 6-10 and '12)

That is the definition of NFL hell. Now perhaps Cousins proves to be the answer (I for one don't think he is going to be a super elite star, but could top out at an Andy Dalton like level in a year or 2), however for this season at least the Commanders QB situation has been better, giving a 2 game cushion and something to play for in December.

Are you on the cusp of the post Romo era? Probably sooner then Jerry Jones imagines. Does a top 5 pick guarantee Goff or Lynch? Probably not. Does drafting them guarantee a future successor who is any good?

Maybe. But seeing that Jason Garret will be the HC in Dallas for at least the next 3 years, as there is no way Jerry Jones swallows his ego and fires him before then, and his utter lack of developing any QB since '07, or maximizing Romo's ability, odds are one of those 2 guys will fail to reach their ceiling in Dallas. And as I can attest to, it is damn hard to win without that guy. This decade alone has brought false messiah's to the NFL and pre-injury we saw how much Andrew Luck was struggling this year.

Best of luck in the future QB hunt. Until then, welcome to NFL hell.

As for this Monday night, I am worried as all sorts. Logically the Commanders should win, and should win easy. The team has played significantly better at home and is right now the better team (and since the Griffin decision in August, the better org)

The Cowboys without Romo are a shell of themselves.

However this rivalry doesn't work that way. In fact, I would feel much more comfortable if you guys were good and playing for first place rather then figuring out how to get into the top 2 of the draft. These are the games in the rivalry where the team that isn't any good finds a way to win (Commanders in Dallas last year, Cowboys from 2000-2002, Commanders '95, Cowboys '89)

The Commanders need this game more then the Cowboys do. In fact, the Cowboys losing probably helps the future of the team. Which is why I'd bet on the Cowboys getting the W.

One final note: Got a tour of Jerryworld while in Dallas over Thanksgiving. Have to give credit to Jerry and the Cowboys org. First class tour, first class people running the place and they gave me some good friendly ribbing for wearing a Commanders sweatshirt. I really enjoyed the tour and experience and have to give a huge thumbs up to the Cowboys organization

Thanks for a fan's view as good as a rival's can be...

as to the Cowboys, you give competition too much value concerning this year's Cowboys. To cash in, the Cowboys will have to get a couple of 'cheap' scores and not give up any.

How delusional do you have to be to go into any game thinking the Commanders should win easy?

LO-Bleeping-L.

True, but not scoring a TD in 4 of 7 games (really 5 of 7 if you exclude last weeks garbage time TD) - I get the optimism from any opposing team.

Eh - I'm okay with everything he says simply due to the absolute sliver of hope they have of making the playoffs this year. When your dying in the desert, that sip of water tastes awfully good so I get it.

I NEVER thought I would say this as I moved through my life as a Cowboy fan but to be honest, the Eagles and Giants have surpassed by hatred of the Skins by a lot. I just have a hard time getting up for them any longer. In fact my favorite part of a Washington game now is seeing all the Cowboy fans in Danny's house.

BTW - nothing in life makes me laugh harder than being on Extremeskins on game day when they are losing.

I even look at tonyromosucks as an immense sign of respect.
