Whichever sucky team sucks less will get an ugly win. More pressure on the Skins though since they actually suck less than we do RIGHT NOW.

Cmon your no where near the better organization. You don't have fine Art, Black tie restaurants and such.

Lol true.. Better organization? Bruh the Commanders have won like 30% of there games since Snyder took over. If romo was healthy this convo wouldn't even gave started

The only reason the Deadskins are relevant this year is the other 3 teams in the East have had a bad year. It's the only time they are ever relevant.

As far as I'm concerned and from what I have witnessed this year, we, as DC fans are in mediocre hell/jail until JG is gone. We'll be on probation until a real coach is hired and the owner neutered which ever comes first.
Obviously I have a very bad taste in my mouth about this team especially finding out how unfortunately dependent we are for a HEALTHY Romo.
On offense, we run the same plays, down after down, game after game and my 15 year old daughter can pick out if we're running or passing by every formation. The only reason it worked before was Romo's improvisation which is soon to be over. Yes Romo is on the downside of his career due to injuries and will be effective 1 more year maximum. Our offensive line has no tempo or timing with run block schemes and the whole line has become sloppy and undisciplined to match it's opponents defensive rushing schemes. Our receivers are running 15 and 20 yard outs and the QB is running for his life before they break their stride. How many slants or 4 yard buttonhooks can you run before the LB's cheat for a pic?
Our defense has been very inconsistent and overall just wimpy since D Woodson left. Our CB's cannot physically cover and will not or cannot tackle. Our safety play is even worse and our LB's show up every other game. Our DLine becomes soft and/or non-existent in the 2nd half of games and just go through the motions acting like they are penetrating the line as the QB steps up or around to make a play.
Lastly, we have no true leadership for the last 20 years. Players have no real coach or leader to turn to or latch on to as motivation to win or start winning. Who knows where the real decisions are coming from and they have no confidence in our direction because our current coach has been neutered over and over to change every year. So JG just keeps toting the company line, firing a coordinator here or there and the players keep doing what they do to get through another season and collect another paycheck. Meanwhile we just keep getting our butts kicked each week and Jerry keeps talking about Romos next 5 years, his 8th wonder...etc. It will be another 3 years minimum before anything changes. In the meantime we'll just keep praying for an acorn to fall in our hands.
Thanks for the rant.

Its actually refreshing to see a Skins fan who realizes that anything can happen Monday night, simply because of the rivalry...most other Skins fans are actin like they already kicked our *** and won the division already to, and are actually gonna make noise in the playoffs for some reason....LMAO

This is the Commanders yearly Super Bowl game. Cut the resident Commander fan some slack.
I wish I could get this excited over the Cowboys playing a 3-7 team.

The bad news for the Commanders is that Claiborne is back, which puts Jones on Reed and for whatever reason B.Carr has somewhat owned D. Jackson over the years. Also the Dallas D is soft, but not Giants soft. If the Commanders can't cover RB's out of the backfield like they showed against Carolina, then Dallas will definitely put up a fight. If Dallas gets cute and overthinks everything like usual and just confuses themselves in the process, then the Commanders won't have any problems winning. Dallas has a habit of looking like garbage on Thanksgiving and then looking like a different team the next week. Sadly I think Dallas will win, but I'm not really sure anyone will be too excited about it. Jeff Heath is a pile of garbage, so as long as he stays off the field Dallas will be in the game.

As for this Monday night, I am worried as all sorts. Logically the Commanders should win, and should win easy. The team has played significantly better at home and is right now the better team (and since the Griffin decision in August, the better org)

The Cowboys without Romo are a shell of themselves.

However this rivalry doesn't work that way. In fact, I would feel much more comfortable if you guys were good and playing for first place rather then figuring out how to get into the top 2 of the draft. These are the games in the rivalry where the team that isn't any good finds a way to win (Commanders in Dallas last year, Cowboys from 2000-2002, Commanders '95, Cowboys '89)

The Commanders need this game more then the Cowboys do. In fact, the Cowboys losing probably helps the future of the team. Which is why I'd bet on the Cowboys getting the W.

Although I always want my team to win (as I'm sure you do), I hope you are not under any delusion that winning the East means anything this year. This division is the whipping boy for the rest of the league this year.

Mark Brunnell. Jason Campbell. Todd Collins. Jason Campbell. Donovan McNabb. Rex Grossman. John Beck. Robert Griffin. Kirk Cousins. Colt McCoy. Kirk Cousins.

Off the top of my head all of those guys have started at QB for the Washington Commanders since Tony Romo took the reigns in Dallas on a steamy fall night against the Giants in '06.

No coincidence, besides the 2012 year (where Griffin out performed Romo, in part due to an NFL not ready for the read option) the Cowboys have had the better record since '06 (notable exceptions '10 when both teams were 6-10 and '12)

That is the definition of NFL hell. Now perhaps Cousins proves to be the answer (I for one don't think he is going to be a super elite star, but could top out at an Andy Dalton like level in a year or 2), however for this season at least the Commanders QB situation has been better, giving a 2 game cushion and something to play for in December.

Are you on the cusp of the post Romo era? Probably sooner then Jerry Jones imagines. Does a top 5 pick guarantee Goff or Lynch? Probably not. Does drafting them guarantee a future successor who is any good?

Maybe. But seeing that Jason Garret will be the HC in Dallas for at least the next 3 years, as there is no way Jerry Jones swallows his ego and fires him before then, and his utter lack of developing any QB since '07, or maximizing Romo's ability, odds are one of those 2 guys will fail to reach their ceiling in Dallas. And as I can attest to, it is damn hard to win without that guy. This decade alone has brought false messiah's to the NFL and pre-injury we saw how much Andrew Luck was struggling this year.

Best of luck in the future QB hunt. Until then, welcome to NFL hell.

One final note: Got a tour of Jerryworld while in Dallas over Thanksgiving. Have to give credit to Jerry and the Cowboys org. First class tour, first class people running the place and they gave me some good friendly ribbing for wearing a Commanders sweatshirt. I really enjoyed the tour and experience and have to give a huge thumbs up to the Cowboys organization

Ah ha! The old you are surely to win this game trick.

Not sure that is going to work this year. Esp with the guys around here.

The Skins will blitz. How we handle that and turnovers will have a lot to do with winning. Add in the Big Play and Negative Big Play diffs.

I must agree with most of this. I don't think dallas has much of a chance this game.

Dallas is trending downward and big time. Last year was the year for the cowboys most likely and they blew it. I have a hard time seeing this team being a contender the next 2 seasons even if romo stays healthy. The is a ton of problems everywhere that simply can't and won't be fixed in and 2 year span.

Never can tell when these 2 teams meet. I anticipate a tough, toss-up type game. Don't want this to be a coming out party for Kirk; he needs to be hit, and hit often...

The only team the Commanders should beat is the Cleveland Browns and that's because the Browns are snakebite cursed.
