Have to agree with this. Especially since last year, we really were peaking going into December, on a 3-game winning streak that finished with an absolute pasting of Seattle. Didn't help us then.

That said, I don't really believe in this 'December' garbage. We have the toughest part of our schedule coming up right now - it just happens to be December. I expect all the games to be close, and I could see us finishing anywhere from 1-4 to 4-1, and none of it has anything to do with the calendar.

I think mentally is has A LOT to do with the calender

Yes sir, I am. Ever since Game 2 I have been saying 12-4 and we win the NFC East. Not going to back off now. I will stomach 11-5, but now way we go 2-3 in December/January and finish 10-6.

I am out on the limb.

I predict that, if the Cowboys manage a 4-1 record in December (to fulfill your 12-4 prediction), their one loss will be not be at New Orleans but, rather, at Washington.

relief woud be nice. I see you left out our kickofff specialist who has been a huge advantage in field position as well as the departure of one Terrell Owens. For for as much talent as he has, he is a locker room killer.
You are the first to point out that I did not mention TO. I left his name off the list on purpose. I feel enough has been said without me throwing him under the bus yet again.

4-1 huh? You've got guts, especially considering we have one game which appears to be virtually unwinnable unless the Saints regress over the next three weeks.

I have no problem seeing us beating New York, in fact I would expect if if Eli really is as banged up as it sounds like he is. I think San Diego is better than us, but at home and with their run defense as poor as it is I can see us winning that one. Washington is a game we simply have no excuse for winning. They will have nothing to play for, have a lame duck coach and will have quit by then. Philly put out their last bit of fight IMO. Speaking of Philly, well, they always seem to stick it to us in the second meeting over the last few years.

IMO we'll go 2-3 or 3-2. 4-1 would require beating 3 winning football teams, something we've only done once all season.
I know what it will require and what we have done. I pay a lot more attention than you can even suspect.

I think we will win all 3 division games. We are simply a better team than all three of them and the team that is closest to us has to come to our house to play. That is also why I think we will beat the Chargers. It is in our house.

So yes, I think 4-1 is out on a limb but not crazy.

Regarding peaking...yes, I think we are getting ready to do exactly that and at the right time. In case you haven't noticed we have only allowed more than 21 points once this entire season and that was 9 games ago. Only 4 opponents have scored more than 20 points. That means 7 have scored less. The Defense, with five new starters is beginning to come together.

That is called peaking.

I also think the Offense has fixed a lot of issues and I can't say enough about our Special Teams.

If you don't think the Cowboys can beat the Saints then you better just pack your bags and go on vacation. Dallas is probably going to have to beat the Saints during the playoffs in order to get to the Superbowl. I think they can beat the Saints. It won't take a miracle to do it, either. They just need to play very good football, which they are capable of doing. It is not a guarantee, nor will it be easy. It also is not impossible.

I will also add that one time had more to do with poor execution on offense (i.e. the poor passes for interceptions by Romo), piss poor tackling on defense (i.e. the occasions where defensive backs did not wrap up Steve Smith or Mario Manningham on tackles which they converted for long gains) and plain old bad luck (i.e. an untouched Felix Jones fumbling a kickoff deep in Cowboys territory/the interception via the bottom of Witten's shoe) than it had to do with the Giants winning on their own merits. We handed them that game on a silver platter. It's time that error was corrected.

I'm not buying this December talk at all. The Cardinals were 7-4 going into December last season, lost 4 of the last 5 games, and ended up going to the Super Bowl.

Arizona lost three of their last five games and were 7-5 going into December last season.

Only thing the Cowboys need to concern themselves with right now is the Giants. While fans will and are entitled to think ahead the Cowboys can't. Stay focused on the job at hand and I think they will do just fine.

I agree 100%.

While they are at it I would appreciate a little revenge for that 1st loss, but they just need to win.

I think Dallas goes into the game knowing they can take down the Giants but the focus needs to be with each man executing his job to his best.

Thats part of the problem too, we as fans shouldnt be thinking ahead either, its one game at a time.

Stay focused on the game at hand.

If the defense continues doing what it's been doing all year long, and Romo and the offense limit their mistakes and play smart football, we will finish strong. How many games have we lost in Decembers past off of turnovers at the wrong moments (not that there are right moments) or our 55 minute defense collapses late in the 4th quarter?

Win the turnover battle.

Hold the line on defense.

December to remember.

I can see us going 3-2 or 2-3 over these next 5 games. Right now I'm leaning towards 2-3.

Of course he isn't. He hates Jerry so much, and isn't much higher on Romo, that he probably can't wait for a 1-4 December.

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on here, congratulations.

Do you really think anyone on here wants us to lose any games? Really? Let alone want us to go 1-4 to end the year?
