I would need a defibrillator if he had said anything else.

No. :laugh2: I'm implying that you are saying he will be the sole cause for a 2-3 finish this season.Bach;3113864 said:So are you saying he's the one constant?

Well, Bach, you certainly haven't said it within this thread. Who knows where my referencing Jerry Jones originated from?Bach;3113873 said:Except I didn't say that. But your post kind of showed he is. Interesting.
That basically means nothing at all and it is easily proven. We understand your opinions are jaded by past failures, but in the real world the past has no bearing on a game. If it did, the exact same team would win every single time teams faced and the Champion would never change.Bach;3113768 said:It is a tough closing schedule and we haven't exactly risen to the occasion down the stretch in recent years.

Oh look! A bugger! :laugh1:
I have no doubt in my mind that you will do just that, Bach. Remember, Jerry Jones is the Devil, unless Roger Goodell's lips are moving. During those exceptions, Jerruh is Satan and he's gonna get all the little Baches who have been naughty and not nice.Bach;3113885 said:I do commend you again though on that post showing Jerry to be one of the only constants. I'll have to remember that.
Bach;3113884 said:Except no one is taking it to your extreme, well except for you of course.
Ah, but you clearly are. You've already admitted your reasoning is based upon a fallacy.Bach;3113884 said:Except no one is taking it to your extreme, well except for you of course.

So, I gather from this rambling bit of "logic" that you predicted the Bengals in the AFC North, that the Saints were going to be a juggernaut, and of course you knew the Titans would struggle early.Bach;3114060 said:The past does mean something. I guess you think it's just a coincidence that the Lions sucked last year, and lo and behold, they suck again this year. Gee, who could've predicted that?
I am glad to hear you say this. I look forward to your post this off season detailing the trends that will continue in 2010 for multiple NFL teams. It ought to be the most informative thread ever since you have this incredible omniscience.Of course nothing is going to be EXACTLY identical, but trends do exist.
None of this interests me at all. Please provide the links to your predictions that showed how you followed trends and knew the fates of the 3 teams above. And my basis for saying I think the Cowboys will go 3-2/2-3 actually has more to do with their schedule than anything else. But there is some psychological aspects too. No way it's just coincidence that the Cowboys have dominated in November and then down the stretch fold in Dec/Jan. Winners and contenders tend to kick it into another gear at that time. The Cowboys over the last decade, not so much.

Sigh.

Who said anything about relying? Not me, I don't believe you can show me one shred of evidence about trends for those 3 teams I requested. But if you can, oh man will I ever genuflect.Bach;3114178 said:Amazing that after over 75,000 posts you're relying on me for this single greatest bit of football info. I would say I'm shocked, but --- I'm not.
