Honestly guys, I don't know that Orton is wrong here. I think it's clear that in the recent past, Tony has had a lot of control over what is being called and when. It would appear that this has changed, at least in the early going, to an extent this season. I know that if I'm a player on a team and I believe that we could win if we just did X, and we never embraced that, I would be really pissed about it as well and it wouldn't take long to tire of it. I mean think about it, is it really all that hard to identify with?

Exactly. Most here read this as if Orton wanted to be the QB and not the backup but that is silly, he was paid to be a backup. It was about romo being extremely pass happy, constant audibles ala Peyton Manning, abandoning the run, etc etc. The best thing for Romo was being humiliated in Game 1 and that allowed Lineham to snip some of Romo's authority. And now we are balanced and winning....

I'm not saying that Mr. Blue Suit made this up (always a possible with him), but I just find it hilarious that he would bring up the Cowboys.

What does Orton...who is playing for Buffalo in a different conference...have to do with the Cowboys at this moment?

And what offensive power struggle was going on last year?

But more importantly, there is no offensive power struggle going on now except of if DeMarco is going to run for 150 yards or 200 yards. So what does Orton have to do with this year's Cowboys team?

And who really cares about the relationship between a backup QB that played 1 game in 2-years and the starting QB?

Mr. Blue Suit must be looking for the ESPN spotlight again.

YR you missed it on this one ole friend. There's been a power struggle on offense going all the way back to the days of TO. We went 13-3 and then late in the season stopped putting up points...

ROFL. Orton rates somewhere below Dan Bailey on the "power" scale.
He was a high paid clipboard holder.

Hope he gets to enjoy that Buffalo winter weather.

I'm sure he will jt that's some good drinking weather right there

Just curious: do you ever get tired of making stuff up and pretending that you know it to be true?

You didn't say you're speculating. You literally just leapt to a conclusion and presented it as FACT. Ridiculous.

Which of the three guys -- Garrett, Callahan, or Linehan are calling the plays? Probably that one.

This year they seem to finally have figured it out, but it's hard to argue that it wasn't a bit <unusual> recently.

I guess. I hadn't thought of that.

The only thing I get tired of is blind homerism. Remember when Hatch told Romo to run the ball more last year? He was asserting a leadership authority from the defensive side of the ball, had some confidence in himself for once while finally getting a bunch of sacks. It's easy to read between the lines when you aren't blindly running off into a ditch homer....

Speculatory nonsense on all levels.

"Our former DT wanted to run more, so that's CLEARLY why our former backup QB was unhappy enough to want out!!!"

Gee, with all that circumstantial evidence in your favor, I don't see how you could possibly be wrong!

You're lazily presenting your guesswork as FACT and you ought to be embarrassed for doing so.

So, there is a power struggle between Romo and Garrett? Because that is when Orton played with Romo...TO was long removed from the team. So was Roy Williams.

And if there has been a power struggle between Romo and Garrett, they have a funny way of showing it. I mean, they went to a Duke basketball game together last offseason.

Either way...it appears that Mr. Blue Suit is trying to make Orton the bad guy in all of this. I just don't buy that he left the Cowboys because he didn't like Romo.

I guess you forgot about Jerry the enabler. Remember when he gave Romo that huge ridiculous contract and said Romo is going to be more like Peyton Manning? He undermined the coach, gave play caller duties to Callaghan, it was a fiasco but Garrett always plays it off, you would never know there was an issue. The results are always on the field. We are winning again and Romo is on a leash....

To be fair, we could have won the division and made the playoffs if Romo and the coaching staff had adopted the running game as opposed to throwing the ball 50 times a game too. It's hard to fault the backup QB for me. There were plenty of decision that are not on Orton, as to why we missed the playoffs that year IMO.

Romo threw 2 interceptions and 17 touchdowns in our LOSSES. He is the last one to blame for not making the playoffs last year.

I think the point was if you were not in the huddle, how do you know what 2 plays were called so romo could audible out of an "obvious" run play to an "obvious" pass play.

It could also be between the OC and HC or the Coaching Staff and Jerry or even Jerry and Stephen. The statements are so open to speculation that it's not even worth really trying to point fingers IMO. I mean, it's good Board Discussion but it's not really anything that I believe has much barring or even validity but then again, that's what Werder is trying to do here right? He wants traffic and if you bring up the Cowboys, good or bad, you will get that.

To me, this is a drive on moment. Way too many good Football things going on, on the field, to give this much credence. JMO.

Which losses, specifically, are you talking about? We play 16 games a year.
