so what. Reid Has Mahomes and has 2 rings. Before that, 0 rings. Bill Walsh didn't get a ring until Montana. Even decent HC's need good QB. MM's SB win shouldn't be disparaged because he had Rodgers. Thats way unfair. Sean Payton had Brees.
You literally are making my point for me … thank you.

Dak is no where near the level of those qbs you just mentioned.

This is a bit confusing coz something isn't adding up.........timing, sequence, play design??????

I mean MM says Kellen wanted to light up the scoreboard, he wanna rub the ball........

Yes, Werder, it was a problem. Timing of the runs, scheming of the runs(or lack thereof), and abandoning the run often at the strangest times.

Looking only at the numbers is a very weird way of examining this.

I don't really feel bad for Zeke if we move on from him. Pollard, it will depend on the doctors. The injury was unfortunate. Obviously, he was the better RB. Keep drafting fast RBs that can read a gap and have a couple moves in the open field. Focus on the big boys up front. Keep adding them.
Not fast Rbs, quick RBs. Need that guy who gets to and through the LOS like a flash. Emmit was one such.

I haven't argued that. If your looking for a spat, look elsewhere. I don't think Daks the guy. So I agree. But at the same token MM IS a winning SB HC and needs his due. He earned it. What did Jimmy J do when he left for Miami? That make him less significant. He had Marino. DIDN'T WIN. See? Mike is a helluva HC. Things could be much worse. Mike will earn his $ this year, no doubt

Eds issue, like many entrenched in media for decades, especially in Dallas...IS that he luvs the sound of his own voice and opinions way 2 much. They become narcissistic. He and the Mike Fishers, Mickey Spagnola's... Honestly, I've grown numb to it all.

At the very worst, MM is a top 15 HC in the NFL. There has not been a single reason to disparage him, and we have now built a good team under his tutelage. He is one of the few bright spots in this crapp org. It is the strangest thing that people feel the need to dump on him.

I don't read their crapp anymore.

There are much better writers/evaluators on this site than those spewers. Bobhaze, Couchcoach, Walker, Reality, and several others are much better than those puds. The info on this site is 2nd to none.

"Dak is no where near the level of those qbs you just mentioned." YES, I KNOW THAT. Which is why what MM has done here has been actually really good...not the SB standard but at least he's making changes and trying to get there.

Ya'll trying to find a way to insinuate that he's not talking about Dak or what?
I’ve always tried to stay in the middle but there is no insinuation. He is talking about Dak. People need to look at the interview. We had no fumbles yet he straight out said we need to stop the turnovers/mistakes. That’s the 2014 “we are taking the dumb plays out of your hands” model. Run it to run clock vs giving them the ball on a sloppy throw. Straight out situational awareness and knowing your team

It’s situational playcalling and predictable playcalling. Running the same play out of the formation on the same down.
3 delay handoffs up the clogged middle. Then act like our run game broke. Even Tony had to showcdase his speed to the edge. Remember how everyone blasted Zeke for his slowness there? Tony shouldn;t have to bounce to the outside 10-15 meaningless yard when he SHOULD be busting up the middle for REAL yards.

Another example of it? The interception after the near int. The very same play. Just so predictable and lack of surprising the defense. I'm not worried about the run pass ratio...I'm concerned that we never seem to surprise the defenses.

For me personally I just believe both coordinators(Moore & Quinn) had far more influence on team success than Mac's input. I can't give credit when I question his actual game day involvement in all 3 phases. Do I have a hidden camera at the Star to track him for his game prep and planning? No, but when consistent public reports were that it was a supposed Jerry mandated hands off Moore offense AND obvious no defensive input to Quinns scheme/prep on Sundays lead me to these conclusions.

HC in name only prior to Moore's departure imo.

Now, that Kellen is gone, I will see IF he can actually coach.

It's gonna be interesting.

Playoff game vs Niners
76 rushing yards
3.4 yards/carry

Dak's win rate is over 95% when:
- Cowboys rush for over 100 and over 4.5.ypc
- Cowboys hold opponent to less than 140 rushing yards.
Yes when a defense knows your QB limitations and attacks your short and intermediate routes it also takes your run game away. As I recall Pollard missed a wee bit of time didn't he?

I know you of all people see the flaws,so I don't know your angle.
But carry on for whatever reason.

Being a HC is not about game day involvement. It's a horse of a completely different color than OCs and DCs.

Is that why people don't like him? They don't understand the duties of an NFL HC?

That formula was correct in all 2022 loses with Dak at QB.

The loss with Rush at QB met those requirements but they lost due to the QB.

The quarterbacks inaccuracies under pressure were what kept this team from advancing Running game could not change that. Good defenses will cause us grief until our QB can and will throw early to tight covered receivers. This is what separates good college QBs from the few who make pros . Dak is what his scouting report says he is .
And it isn’t changing.

Nobody said the running game was a problem. Still doesn't change that we should run more.
Not more we ran plenty but better, more efficiently, better schemed and get more physical against the better teams we meet especially in the playoffs. lets not abandon the run so quickly.
