Please tell me about these stats where leading the team in sacks as an interior lineman was a mediocre thing that should have him replaced by Lavar that has never had a sack.

Please share the stats where Selvie our performed Mincey.

I'm all ears. I didn't realize that Mincey was so terrible. So please bring some facts and drop that knowledge on me.

Mincey's sacks came primarily as a DE last year.

Like it or not Mincey is one of our top 5-6 defensive lineman. Thus it would be stupid to cut him. Too bad you let your personal feelings get in the way of logic.

How's it illogical to want to keep a guy like Edwards or Gardner that could potentially have a higher ceiling than Mincey? You think Mincey's going to be back next year?

lol And our all world non JAG from last year is now lucky to our 6th best defensive lineman.

Didn't realize JackCraw was having a good camp. Figured young vet would'v flashed by now, etc. Good for him/us then.

J Crawford had a good couple of games last year when he moved inside. Then he got hurt. So not really a surprise he's having a good camp.

Production > potential (especially judged by Internet guy who doesn't see players in person)

You sound ridiculous. Not sure you appreciate this fact.

Do you really think the coaching staff can't judge these players better than you????seriously??? Like if they kept Lavar and had him play first team week 1, he'd be able to handle it? Wow.

I probably falsely attributed his good play to Tyrone last season, etc.

Hardy*

1. Lawrence
2. Mincey
3. Gregory
4. Russell
5. Gardner
6. Edwards
7. Crawford
8. Crawford
9. Hayden
10. Bishop
11. Coleman
12. McClain

With Hardy, you probably have to cut 3 at least.

as much as I hate to say, this is a nice problem to have. in years past, it was which garbage do we keep. now our trash may become somebody else's treasure. it speaks to the quality of the people on the roster.

If Hayden is "asked" to be easily handled by a single offensive lineman or to not get any penetration or to be constantly stood up and pushed backwards, then someone is giving him poor guidance.

I think they cut whomever they think they can get through waivers and onto the practice squad.

JAG to me means an average run of the mill player.

Mincey fits that bill. He's an average journey man type of DE.

He played ok for us last year.

He should be almost a lock for this year.

I think we may cut some potential depth players like Gardner or Edwards, who have the upside of a solid backup at DE

He claimed Mincey sucked the minute the Cowboys signed him. He wanted them to cut him before game 1 last year.

He can't admit that he was wrong.

Huh. Did not know that. I thought Coleman was working both (1 and 3). Thanks for info!

Coleman is doing what they wanted McClain to do last year - play both DT spots. Bishop is a tank and is built more like a 1-tech. I wish he could beat out Hayden for the job but I don't see it happening. J. Crawford is a pure backup 3-tech, similar to T. Crawford in that he was a SDE last year but thrived inside. It comes down to what do you want out of your backups? Reliable backups at one position or versatility. If versatility wins, I can see Coleman getting a spot.

This is the last time I do any research for you. I put in the work that I base my evaluations on. I don't just make opinions as it seems that you do.

Tell me from the below who the Pro Bowler is, who the JAG is and who is the JAG we cut?

------------------Solo---Assist--Tackles for Loss--Total--Sacks---Hurries
Player A--------39------20--------------17-------------59-----15---------9
Player B--------37------8---------------13-------------45------7---------11
Player C--------20------17--------------9--------------37------6---------16

You make good points but, you have to realize that even though Gardner remade his body over the off season
no less that Nate Newton who has looked at him closely said that he just doesn't have a quick twitch in his body.
If he did, he would be "all world". I think it will be hard for Gardner to make the squad unless he can push someone
else off the squad at 3Tech.

I think Gardner could be SDE/3T platoon guy until Hardy gets back. Once Hardy is back I think they try to pass him to the PS, unless there are injuries.

It's going to be really tough for him because he just has no quick move at the SDE position I hear. They have been trying to get
him some work at the 3T but, he has lots of competition there right now. He might make it back to the practice squad this year
and that's the best I can see for him at this juncture.

I've been saying all year that Gardner should be moved inside. He played heavier at Standford. I don't know if he's build to carry 290. But that will be his position. Maybe a better 3-4 end.
