- They're as good an 0-3 as there is

- Kerry Collins always shreds us

- Keith Davis v.s. Moss and Co.- Yuck

- You don't win 3 in row on the road in the NFL

:(

And we're as good as 2-1 as there is

Collins...huh?

yes, Moss will step on Davis like a giant and plant him in the ground, we need to roll coverage for help

again..huh? Dallas at one point won many games in a row on the road, and I believe the 49ers won like 22 in a row on the road. OK, they were great then, but it has been done many times.

After reading this thread, we should forfeit.

As an aside, the Chiefs are looking pretty brutal tonight, maybe they aren't as good as they appeared.

I can sort of agree with most of this but...
is about the stupidest thing ever written, so the atrocious pass D of the Raiders is going to beat Bledsoe, because he's do? If the law of averages had any darn thing to do with football. The Browns would have won a superbowl. If you're looking for Bledsoe to faulter it isn't against a terrible team like Oakland. I really doubt Drew will throw 2 ints again. Apart from that decent analysis. Also Collins doesn't quite have that good a record more like 6-4 against us. And that counts us getting routed in 2000 by the NFC champ Giants.

Come talk to me after the game....if I'm wrong iI'll gladly eat a big dose of Crow...

I think your assessment is solid. We either have a bad game or finally put everything together and win.

i would like to see what happens when both our offense and defense is clicking we could be a very dangerous team

the raiders are barely losing to superbowl caliber teams and we barely beat the worst team in the nfl.. yea i think it'd be safe to say we aren't going to win.
The Miami Dolphins beat the superbowl champs last year, now what?

You guys sound scared. I'm glad the guys on the field don't feel like you do.

I think we are due for a solid game both offensively and defensively.

I think the Raiders have been playing better than they are, and are due for a sloppy game.

This could be our first "blowout" win of the season.

Cowboys win 30-17

A big key to this game will be how effective we are running the rock. IF we can get Jones going early and he tops the 100 yard mark, that should help keep the Raiders offense off the field and give us our best chance of winning. I don't want to see us involved in another high scoring game this week.

I think we will beat The Raiders and will play a very aggressive and physical game..our D-line rotation will help and the secondary steps up to the challenge..sorry 49 game struggle or not..we will beat Moss and company IMO..

They have a decent team but frustrate Collins with the Blitz and pressure they can be beaten..I think for some reason we will get to Collins quite a bit. :)

We're going to take a hellacious beating.

Well then, I guess we should just forfeit that game, rather than wasting all that time out in California... just treat it like a bye week...

I mean, who could hope to match up with those mighty Raiders?? This is a team that ranks 31st in the NFL in rushing offense, ALL they have is a passing game... ought to be REAL tough to game plan such a one-dimensional offense... it's also a team that ranks 29th in total defense, giving up nearly 395 yards per game (393.7)... they have given up an average of exactly 300 yards per game passing thus far this season... meanwhile, the Cowboys rank 5th in passing offense...

Now, why on earth would you be so terrified at the prospect of facing such a team, son?? Yeah, they can throw the ball, and yeah, the Boys have proven to be vulnerable to the long pass... at the same time, by now the Cowboys' staff KNOWS Oakland's capabilites, as well as their weaknesses... it also looks as though the Cowboys ought to be able to move the ball fairly easily on them, which means that they have the proverbial puncher's chance of winning in a shootout...

Are you in hurry to be the first one on your block to quit on the Cowboys, pal?? I am somewhat sickened by the defeatist attitudes I've been reading in here (not just from you) today...

Let's say I hope the Cowboys don't share your mindset... I'll take it a step further than that-- I wouldn't want you on any team I ever played on, if you give up THAT easily... I understand all about setting low expectations, so that you're not disappointed if the Cowboys DO get hammered, and you're pleasantly surprised if they win, but to say they're gonna take a "hellacious beating" is rather disgusting...

Nope.

Oakland is a hell of alot better then there 0-3 Record.

Are they?? What was their record LAST year?? And where are all these massive improvements?? I can think of Randy Moss, and that's about it...

Meanwhile, it sure looks to me like their defense is every bit as bad as it was last year...

2 of their 3 Games were against the teams that were featured in the Super Bowl last year and the other game was against the Chief, who most think can go really far into the playoffs.

Those two Super Bowl teams have struggled thus far this season, not looking like anything even remotely resembling the teams that went to the big game last year... and KC just got reamed on national TV by a rather lightly-regarded Broncos team...

I swear, this deification of the Faiders just befuddles me... they're 0-3, and you guys are making them sound like some powerhouse, Super Bowl contender... have any of you considered that maybe, just maybe, their defense and their running games suck?? Maybe THAT'S the real reason they're 0-3...

Did you see what the Iggles did to the 49'ers team we played? How about the Pats playing at Pitt and winning. I respectfully disagree. They are the top dawgs until proven otherwise. Concerning the Raiders, they aren't world beaters, but they aren't as bad as their record indicates IMO. Talk about a tough opening schedule.....

Yes, I did... I also saw how they struggled against the Falcons and Faiders... I also know they're playing with a QB who by his own admission can't throw the ball normally, and a kicker with a bad hamstring...

How about the Pats playing at Pitt and winning.

Their lone win, and hardly a dominating performance... I see you don't mention their other 2 games at all... just like you carefully selected the Iggles' best performance...

One game out of three hardly makes for a compelling argument...

No, they aren't as bad as their record indicates, but they DO have weaknesses, and some of them are at positions where the Cowboys counter with strength (mainly, the Boys' passing offense against the Faiders' pass defense)...

They are also uncommonly prone to shooting themselves in the foot, via penalties and sundry other boneheaded errors... we're talkin' tied for the most penalties in the league, averaging 12 a game, and leading the league all by themselves with an average of 109 penalty yards per game...

Yet some folks in here are talking like this is a totally unwinnable game for the Boys... to which I'd respond this is a young team, coming together, and we have not yet seen their best football...

Beyond that, the notion that the Faiders are this powerhouse who will be next to impossible to beat at home is just LUDICROUS, IMO... it just ain't true...

Pats are 2-1.

I picked the Iggles game versus the niners because it was a common opponent. Plenty of people here were crowing about this season being the Iggles downfall and I never understood why. Still don't. If they lose McNabb, that is another story.......

Agree with you 100% here.

it's simple really, we'll have to outscore Oakland, seriously, both Ds are in the works, and Oakland will always have to score more to make up for how many points they'll allow on D, same being the case for us, that is until our D gells, Oakland just doesn't have the personnel to be a good D, so therein lies the solution, if our D gets only a notch better from this week, and in the 2nd half vs San Fran, we made adjustments, the increased familiarity and more adjustments to better prepare against a more potent offense than the one we saw on Sunday, then we definitely have a shot to win this one, that's a big if, but I believe Oakland's D is worse in any event and we'll outscore the Raiders in another shootout

There is a lot going against us in this game.

1. Raiders at home 0-3, will be anxious for a win
2. Randy Moss = Owns Cowboys, hate to say it but it's true
3. Kerry Collins = like a 8-2 9-1 record versus us.
4. Our defensive secondary play is horrendous. (so far)
5. Bledsoe is due for a bad game.

Keys to us winning. (IMO)

1. Julius has to run better than he has so far (needs to run for over 100yds)
2. We cannot give up more than 1 big play in the passing game
3. Bledsoe has to throw 3 TD's and throw 2 ints or less.
4. Need to pressure Collins to get him out of rythem early and often.

If all 4 of these things happen, I think we win.

I agreed up to there. How is that a fair judgement? Thats like saying Moss is due for a bad game. Or Brady is due to falter in the playoffs. Bledsoe has been a stud, and I dont think he'll let up now

The reason many of us are so pessimistic is because outside of Bledsoe and the passing game, which we failed to use against the skins, the boys haven't shown much. Defense has been shaky (bombs away), playcalling/game coaching has been terrible and the running game has been disapointing. Now with the upcoming schedule they're obviously going to have to play much much better.
