He is taking guys we don’t need and won’t help us. Schoonmaker was the wrong pick. Mazi HAD to be the pick because we refuse to dive into the FA market on day 1. Tolbert was a terrible Rd 3 pick.

He needs to pick it up.

Those guys that we don't need are playing on a 10 and 4 1st place team.

Kincaid, his parents, and his agent all expected the Cowboys to draft him.

It's not the first time Jerry tried to change the narrative, don't forget the napkin he had at the 2022 draft presser. He always tries to rewrite history to make it look like everything went according to plan.

The Cowboys also immediately tried to overcorrect and reached like hell for Schoonmaker in the 2nd.

Also, I wish they would have taken LaPorta over Mazi. Many people would have hated it at the time (me included) but would have been a great pick.

I really like this. It's smart resource allocation.
Good teams aren't afraid to trade away good players.

Dallas needed a RB in the last draft, but they were picking late every round. The only way to get a decent one was to draft one a "round early". 4 good RB's went in the third round before Dallas took Overshown (including Achane).

Trading down is often wise, and Dallas rarely does this. If a backup TE is your best idea in the second round- trade out of the pick. That second round pick is worth 2 third round picks and a high 5th per the draft value chart.
