What’s wrong with Parsons?

He looks lackadaisical and frankly he’s just not making enough plays anymore. I don’t want to hear injury excuses 100% of players are dealing with something. He doesn’t have the same burst, power, intensity. Thoughts on his regression?

He had a sack and a fumble recovery today. Teams are now game planning for him and its up to the other guys to step up. DLAW is our 3rd highest plaid player and a 14M cap hit this year. He disappears for weeks at a time and had a mere 1 tackle today. Micah can't do it all. He needs some help.

You don't want to hear it. But he is injured. He is undersized. They honestly should rest him for the next two weeks.

How many other players are playing positions that don't reflect their body structure? Unless he puts on another 15-20 lbs of muscle, he should be used as an edge rusher on obvious passing downs, and moved around various linebacker positions for the rest of his snaps. Wear and tear on the body is a real thing.

Good point, now, who put him in that situation? Why is he playing end so much? He loves Quinn and is being used as Quinn sees fit. A good number of the fanbase likes him at end, but complain when he does not produce. I won't say that he is chasing stats, but he has run his mouth quite a bit, with not much to show lately.

I mentioned this in a thread a couple weeks ago. Whenever the camera shows him on the sidelines he's always pouting or seems pissed about something. I felt like our D had an identity when Parsons was leading but this team, especially the D, is lost now...
I told people he was out of shape...no one believed.

You asked what’s going on but then specifically say not to mention injuries, when it’s pretty clear injuries are exactly what’s going on. His injuries and injuries to the guys around him. Quinn has been essentially forced to go completely vanilla because the defensive backfield is a mash unit and they can’t cover long enough for any sort of pass rush to get there. Some of you have absolutely unrealistic expectations. Parsons was all over the place today with a sack and fumble recovery. But when QBs can constantly 3-step drop to open WRs, there is nothing Parsons can do.

At some point one of the other 10 people playing on D might need to step up a bit and help him out. I know what y'all are saying, but the guy can't do it all himself.

He complains about being beat up in one breath and stat chases during blowouts with the next breathe.

He is no where near LT
Not yet. It's his SECOND YEAR.

Also you guys in this revisionist history stuff. I watched LT and he didn't dominate every week, contrary to popular opinion. I know everyone like to think LT had a sack, a fumble recovery, an INT and two forced fumbles every game. He didn't. He had subpar games and he also played alongside another HOF linebacker, Harry Carson and another really good one in Carl Banks.

He's pissed Jerry used him like a prop during OBJ negotiations.

His production has tailed off but he's still in elite company. Wish he would drop social media but he's going to have to make his mistakes and learn from them.

I like Q as much as anyone but I agree with you. Playing Micah on the line this frequently is borderline negligent, not only sheme wise (Micah has proven to be superior when moved around), but also towards Micah's future health. I'm afraid his body won't hold up long term and these nagging ailments will turn into chronic injuries.

Nothing’s wrong with him. 2 things happening here:

1. He’s banged up. Has been for a while. And,

2. He’s literally being held on like 60-70% of his pass rush attempts and NEVER gets the call. Ever. That wears on you mentally. It’s BS. Jerry and Co. need to contact the league office about this matter this off-season because it’s getting ridiculous.
