The Good:
Drew Bledsoe - I was wrong about him. When he gets time, he's a pro bowl QB. Hopefully, the line will step up and give him some protection. I think the season hinges on that.
Terence Newman - I can't fathom how someone wouldn't have him on their list. He's been sensational. He's given up very few completions, and has made several big plays. He makes a pick to save a TD or FG against Seattle, he saves 4 points by chasing down Randy Moss (something I've never seen before), he makes a possible game saving deflection on Dat's pick against SF, makes a 1st down saving tackle against TO, and sets up a field goal with a pick against Washington. IMO, he may be the best corner in the NFL; he's taking away his part of the field most of the time, and that's the closest thing to a shut down corner there is right now.
Laroi Glover - He's had some stupid penalties, but otherwise he's been teriffic. I've seen him get overpowered at times as a NT, but he's generally been great and when Dallas plays a 4 man line, he's been all-pro caliber.
Anthony Henry - A good football player, certainly better than what I thought we were getting. I like the way he makes physical tackles as well. He's really helped solidify the secondary, taking it from a weakness to a strength in just one offseason.
Terry Glenn - He's been inconsistent of late, but he's the only deep threat we have. If he gets hurt, the offense takes a major blow.
The surprising:
Demarcus Ware - He's going to be great. I was just hoping he wouldn't embarrass himself as a rookie. He's greatly exceeded my expectations.
Willie Pile - He's no star, but this guy can play. It's no coincidence the safety play has been better as of late.
MBIII - I thought he'd get cut. Instead, he's probably the best allaround back on the team with JJ hurt.
Patrick Crayton - More than any other player we have, he has a nose for the 1st down. Just watch him: he always seems to know where the sticks are. Too bad about his injury.
Rob Pettiti - I thought he was a fat blob who wouldn't get out of camp. He'll have to step it up though, after 2 straight subpar games.
The Disappointing:
Marco Rivera - Too many penalties and average blocking. For the $ Dallas gave him, I expected at least a near pro-bowl performance.
Flo Adams - Before his injury, he was inconsistent. He toys with his guy one play, and then gets owned the next. A complete enigma.
Kevin Burnett - Maybe disappointing is the wrong word. I didn't expect much from him. His senior year he was on the field almost every play of every game, and yet never made big plays. In Dallas, he can't even get on the field.
Marcus Spears - Not labeling him a bust, I just thought he'd come in and be an immediate impact player, and that Ware would struggle some. It's been the opposite.
Bill Parcells - Being conservative and run/defense oriented is one thing. The run, run, pass strategy in the red zone last week was horrible and amateurish. As was the run, run, run, FG strategy against Washington.
