From the offense, defense, special teams and coaching staff. Too many penalties that stalled drives or kept Buffalo drives going. Defense couldn’t stop the run and the offense sucked all around. Give credit to Buffalo. They probably played their best game of the year. We get every teams best.

BUT, the seasons not even close to being over. Quinn needs to figure out how to stop the run with what he’s got and MM needs to figure out how to beat that kind of defensive scheme because I’m sure they’ll see more of it.

So let the haters celebrate and do their gloating. They‘re quitters and/or bandwagon fans. I’m still a believer and looking forward to see how the team handles this set back.

Lol, yeah Rockport gives his all in supporting this team. Sometimes I wish I had that kind of fortitude. That being said, it seems to be the same holes and short comings year after year with this team and that points to an internal problem with the franchise.
Dang, I wonder what the one constant is for the last 3 decades?

It is the exact same script every year. Even a cave man could figure it out.

First paragraph, agree with you and you would have left it there I would for the first time liked one of your threads.

Second paragraph: Quinn has had 3 years to figure out the run and has not been provided the arsenal to be able to do so, nor able to use the players he has effectively. I blame Jerry and Son for this though, not DQ

Third paragraph: Was it necessary to bring up haters who celebrate a loss? Nothing wrong with being a believer, but don't you dare tell me you didn't see today coming? I knew this was coming after the Bills opening drive, and watched on fast forward the rest of the game. Why? Been there, done that..still have the Aikman jersey. By the way, the haters you speak of are Dak haters. This game was not in the least on Dak, it is the failure of an organization who is ill prepared to play in these big spots. Nothing more, nothing less

Games like this show us who the real fans of the team are.

The mood of this forum tonight makes it seem like this team is 4-10 and not 10-4.

They had a stinker, like you said. In the NFL it happens. The pace the Cowboys were on had to end at some point.
Yeah but no offense this has been the same team year in and year out 20 years. They will have spectacular regular seasons…
Look dominant at times. Maybe win a wild card game if we’re lucky but then fold in every big game.

We just aren’t mentally tough at times.. it’s not just a one time thing. It’s the same story now for years. That’s why we’re frustrated as fans.

I pretty much expected them drop either Buffalo or Miami. But you would expect a good, competitive loss, if there is such a thing. To lose the way they did on Sunday is the earliest indication that their road playoff woes will doom them again for the third consecutive year.

It's now a really simple question. Do you trust this team? Or do you trust the 49ers? If I were a betting man I'd be putting everything on the gang in Santa Clara. Can you imagine them being embarrassed like that...even in a road loss?

There is no reason that if we a Superbowl team that we can handle Buffalo and Miami. Forget about being competitive, if we are the better team we beat them both wherever the game is played. Miami may run circles around us, and based upon today's game we could be in deep doo doo. I still think this team is different than teams past, but if I was a betting man? I would be all in on the 9ers, and in no world would they embarrass themselves like this team did tonight...we were a team at full strength going in, against a team suffering significant losses on the D side of the ball and that's how we balled out

None of the teams under Johnson or Switzer ever suffered this type of loss in December during four consecutive title game runs. Losses by seven points or fewer...but not 21. When you think about injuries to the Bills and that they were one call away from probably being 6 - 7 it can rattle more pragmatic fans. It can't be that you lose one player (Hankins) and your entire run defense collapses for sixty minutes. With Quinn, I can take him or leave him at this point. Maybe it's time for him to find a HC job somewhere. Maybe the d-line coach as well.

I'm okay with losing a tough game on the road after a satisfying win over a division rival but to not show up is simply unacceptable. And now you are right back where you were the last two years...fifth seed and no home games for the playoffs. And the kicker is...it wasn't the 49ers that you played. It was a Bills team with significant losses on the defensive side.

Ugly business.

I push back to both extremes. If I feel you go too far. It can go both ways.
It was refreshing to see a level headed post not your usual casual fan, or otherwise self elevating references. I congratulate you on your restraint.

No? I would agree if you had stopped after the 2nd paragraph, but you couldn't help yourself. You never can.
You for removing all statues from Arlington National Cemetary that denote freedom for those the Civil War benefiters? Common sense sometimes help...as does non-stop targeting because some one remains disappointed as well.

What is Fort Bragg called now?

It’s nice to see he can provide some critical analysis. But there’s no need to call out fans . It doesn’t strengthen the argument.

Both extremes on this site ( homers and haters) are a problem. Most fans are more in the middle.

The Cowboys to some fans are like a problem child or loved one who will need to see much more evidence and or results before totally believing they have totally turned the corner. It been almost 3 decades. Hard to blame them.

Fans don’t have to believe to root them on . They can retain a glimmer of hope while remaining doubtful and critical .

And some fans should take the advice of coaches blocking out or ignoring the noise. This entire attack by both extremes is merely an attempt to discredit them personally cause their rebuttals to the argument are exhausted.
Analysis...disappointment before another consecutive year to the playoffs. Disappointment at this point even, is premature. That was a strong loss, but there are further good teams to play. Let's watch before declaring failure at this point. That is what Rockport supports. He is positive as to support as long as there is hope.

No type of categorization removes opportunity...that is football. Rockport is a fan.

This now is a run to the playoffs. Team strength is forged by failures as well. This is many's 3rd at being just there.

This team isn’t rolling past SF.

It will be a steam roll.
Maybe......but I think we are overlooking the impact of Josh Allen's threat as a runner. I mentioned in a thread last week how he's 4th in rushing attempts among QBs ( behind Hurts, Fields and Jackson).

Yeah, I think the only other time they played that well was against the Dolphins in Buffalo. They get really motivated against good teams that come to their place. It was clear we didn't match their intensity level. On to the next game. I'm just hoping we're not the 1991 Lions. We have to get one of these games.

Just too light on the defensive line with injuries. Not an excuse. Not the reason why we lost but it is the reason why we got run over. We lost because of penalties mistakes on the road again.
