The cards are already like 90 million in dead money on him right now if he were to split. There's no way they're eating any more off that contract, they're realistically probably stuck with him for 2 more years
Well they would eat the dead money ,
So that might be enough?

Honestly would be a lateral move at best.

Until further notice, Lance is out QB of the future

Slightly off topic and waaaay too early for the discussion, however one thing to think about is teams picking at the top of the draft are often the teams with new head coaches. The Cowboys have a top candidate for a HC role in Dan Quinn.....

IF and that's a huge if but assuming DQ landed with a team that had a top10 pick what are the odds that he would make a push to take Micah Parsons with him?
Dan Quinn you mean the reason we lost the two games we lost this year so far that Dan Quinn you're saying he's better than McCarthy did you see his Super Bowl ring oh wait no I saw Mike McCarthy Mike McCarthy's been to more Super Bowls won a Super Bowl has US winning games on a more consistent pace and Dan Quinn ever did as a head coach Dan Quincy great defensive coordinator but even then you're somehow picking this dude to be our next head coach when he blew these last two games he was not prepared he did not have his players prepared and we lost so you might wanna get off that little kick I say no to all of it...

Let's revisit this in February because I'm really sick of all these posts and no I'm not going away everyone with all these ridiculous suggestions on what's wrong with the team and some of the dumbest things I've ever heard so far is somehow you think the Cardinals are gonna eat the dead money to get rid of Kyle or Mary and then somehow we're gonna eat target money to get rid of Prescott so we can downgrade he would be a downgrade or at least a parallel switch I don't really get it Kirk cousins names being thrown around here Prescott did not lose these two games the defense did the offensive line did the lack of a run game did scheming did everything that it's a team loss you're not replacing one thing ain't getting better

but again we sit here at 3-2 we have plenty of season left and all this stuff is just ridiculous..

our future you mean maybe 2024 or 2025 I mean they just don't throw contract money away like owners don't eat $60 million in dead cap so he's not getting cut this year next year still probably about 30 million he only is tradable if he accepts the trade.. So this talk is all premature and I do agree it would be lateral at best but I don't think kyler Murray being more expensive first of all the cards are not gonna eat that money and two he's not better no quarterback I think including Patrick mahomes would have won these two losses I'm serious and did anybody see the games no defense no run game offensive line bad I mean I don't know if you think that quarterbacks normally can play without a run game without a better offensive line without anybody getting open I mean you think we could just put anybody in there and they would just win because it's not named Prescott or Romo I mean is that what this place thinks no what's gonna happen is we're gonna turn into one of the worst teams in the NFL without a top ten quarterback but kyler Murray's not one of them and we can't afford to move on yet it may be 2025 before this quarterback of the future sees truly sees the field..

The only new QB that could be brought in would have to be on a rookie contract. The most logical course of action would be to let Dak play out next season while drafting a QB high and develop alongside Lance.

First off who hurt you? Secondly, take a deep breath and actually read what's being said before you respond....no where did I say anything about Quinn being the next coach of the Cowboys nor did I say the Cowboys would be acquiring Murray, Cousins or any big name/money QB.

You ask Minnesota fans?
No need. He can complete a forward pass more than 5 yards in front of him.

Would he get us to the promised land? Who knows but he would give us a better shot than the guy who has completely lost what little he ever had.

I'd dare to ask what you think of Tannehill?

Don't see any way its possible that you could take on Kyler's contract and still have the cap hit from Dak the next two years.

This, Dak is a $61M hit if cut or trade. That would cripple your team for years to come and then Lamb and Parsons contracts coming (d—).

How come these other teams can seem to move away from big contract failed QB's like Goff and Wentz but it's always we are stuck with what we have?
Bingo. Somehow the multi billionaires get too cheap.

Offer a trade and eat part of his salary

What if Arizona decides it's time to move on from Kyler?

His mobility and ability to make plays makes him one of the few if not only QB's I can think of that might be attainable and who might actually mesh with our offensive strengths & weaknesses.

I know Kyler has apparently been less than dedicated ..... but sometimes a wake up call like getting traded can get a guy going.

I don't know about the financial ramifications but I can't imagine them to be too severe IF you truly can get a QB with experience and the skills to help your other players thrive.
We are stuck with Dak until after June 1, 2026 when its a 11 mil cap hit so in 2024 and 2025 almost stuck but PLEASEEEE Don't renew Dak because
in my view he can be a backup in 2024 and 2025

I don't recall him having accuracy issues. Otherwise, all valid points except that the new regime looks to be ready to deal which means they may be willing to eat some of the cost.
if he is a young QB to build around ... (and we know how tough it is to get a cornerstone franchise QB)
why would the Cards be interested in dealing him away ?

Read my earlier posts. In short, regime change.
