As Jimmy Johnson once said Luck is "Hard work and preparation" The reason the guy gets the lucky bounce is because he does not give up on the play. You stay focus and stay with the play you have a chance to make something happen.

Listen! Read my initial post. I'm not saying you can't be frustrated about our play, that's only natural. However, to make knee jerk decisions on players and coaches after each and every bad or good play is ridiculous. Your wife was just tired and fell asleep, no big deal.

No she was upset and was calling out players. She basically gave up on the team. Hey it happens. It's sports. We are human and people are going to say some dumb things they don't mean. The last thing we need is someone playing hall monitor and posting a "I told ja so" thread the next day.

Explain to me how this is "I told you so" thread.

Some of you so called fans should be ashamed of yourselves. Not all, but some. What a joke. Moaning and pouting and crying because the Cowboys were playing poorly. Heaven forbid. It was the 3rd quarter and I was reading that we need a new QB, new OL, better LB's, new DL, new Head Coach and new Offensive Coordinator. It's too long of a season to not expect the Cowboys to play poorly for a period of time. I understand that this is a message board and a place to air your thoughts, but get a grip. Some so called fans were like, "I'm turning the TV off" or "I'm going to bed, I can't watch this anymore". Just unbelievable. I hope the fans who said this, and I use the term "fans" lightly, had the guts to do it, so you missed a great finish.

I've never turned a Cowboy game off before it was over. Never. 1-15 in 1989. Bears destroying us in the mid-80's. I would've missed some great comebacks back in the late 70's and early 80's if I did turn the TV off.

Those so called fans are spoiled babies. I'll give you all a pass if you're in elementary school or middle school, but that's it. I understand you're frustrated, but chill. I never threw in the towel last night, never do. I'm always like, if we can hold them here and then score then hold them again or get an onside kick or cause a turnover and score we can win this.

That all being said, we lost the battle of the trenches pretty bad and didn't play well at all. But I understand that it's going to happen quite a bit during a long season and not to go crazy about it. We'll bounce back. I think the bye had something to do with it. BP said we looked flat in some practices last week and it carried over to the game. Plus, give the Eagles credit. They came out and played a great game.

Go Cowboys!

Good post. Then Hos follows it up with a decent point, but if you are going to get in line with all the masses who weep and moan and puss out, then maybe you should find another team, or better yet, find another sport like tennis to go and support.

I think we deserve the right to finally say, GOOD teams find a way to win. Just look at how the Patriots have won the majority of their games. This team has no quit, and I called it last night in the 4th quarter with 8 or so minutes left... "We will win 21-20, you just watch."

And BLAM! The PICK, and Roy running with an escort from Bradie James who knocks McNugget on his chunky soup lovin a**! TOUCHDOWN!!!!

GO COWBOYS!!!! :flagwave:

Also, I was playing hall monitor? Actually I was laying in bed watching the game and was having trouble staying awake, so I sat in my computer chair to watch the game and came here. That's when I stumbled upon the rubbish on here. Why can't I have an opinion about that? I guarantee the people who don't agree with me acted like little babies throughout the whole game and then felt like idiots when we came back and won. :lmao2:

I'm not going to get into it with you. You have your opinion and I have mine.

You have nowhere to go with it that's why. This wasn't an "I told you so" thread.

Give it a rest. My wife is the biggest Cowboy fan you could know. She was basically depressed and fell asleep at the start of the 4th quarter. According to you, she isn't a real fan because she was whining and moaning about the poor play. Maybe she didn't have as much faith as you did but to accuse her and others of not being true fans is absurd.
A real fan doesn't go to sleep while their team is still playing. THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

So she's a real fan that happens to also be a quitter. That's cool I guess.:lmao2:

That's fine, you are entitled to your opinion.

Let's agree to disagree and look ahead to the Lions. I think it'll be a tougher game than most think.

Hey she was upset and she couldn't keep her cool. She made a mistake. It happens. Part of the fact might have something to do with the fact that she was up since 3 AM in the ER the previous morning. You think she was the only fan who left early or probably stopped watching. Please!

I agree but I can't help but overlook that game because I can't stand the Broncos and I really want us to win that game. But you are right. One game at a time.

There is a difference in falling asleep and going to bed. I've fell asleep during boring games in my life, but never went to be on a team.
Do you have kids? What would one of them think if you went to the parking lot while he was on the field and took a nap? Come on man don't take up for the quitters in the world!

Ha ha ha, okay okay, that was a pretty funny response. I can't even be mad with this type of response; "the quitters of the world" :lmao2:

No, she didn't go to bed. She fell asleep on the couch. I just thought they were one and the same but I can see there is a difference with one going to the bedroom and passing out versus falling asleep on the couch which is what she did. I jokingly accused her of betraying the boys and woke her up when we were making our comeback.

Were talking about a game here. I could care less who turns the tv off and goes to bed. I dont know their circumstances, I dont know how die hard they are or are not because the chose to turn the tv off and I really dont care.

I do take offense to someone who comes in here running off at the mouth about who is and is not a true fan. We're in a freakin dallas cowboys forum in the middle of the day while we probably all should be doing our jobs (hehe : ) Id say we all qualify as loyal fans.

Nope. She was probably one of thousands. I just don't have a lot of respect for people who give up on something. Your wife's situation is a little different. I can appreciate someone who is exhausted and has been working like a dog. You didn't say that at first and she might take offense to you not representing her that way. Better hope she doesn't post her. J/K

Glenn, the Boys did not look sharp last night and it was very dissapointing. There were no excuses as they were well rested and should have been prepared for the hype. It was tough to stomach that game for any Cowboy fan, regardless of committment to team. I would advise you to not use this website to judge fans. Your going to have your fly by nighters on any team, but for the most part, if your a Dallas fan and a member of this site, you "love" the boys to some degree. We came away with a win, and believe me, those who decided to turn the channel with 5 mintues left are kicking themselves this morning. It was a great finish and I quickly returned the favours to all Known Cowboy haters for the phone calls received after the Washington debacle. Let it go. We need to focus on the weeks ahead and thank the Football Gods, We played like a 5-4 team last night, not a 6-3.
