What Are The Chances That Garrett Wins Coach of the Year?

It would take the perfect storm (or sorts) for him to win it this year...I think there is too much baggage from all of his personal on-field gaffs and his team's struggles in the last few years that would work against him...the odds would be exceptionally high against him winning COTY, but you always have a chance (think line from Dumb and Dumber)

Lets say we have a healthy team and play well, making the playoffs.. The defense is vastly improved and no in game miscues. Could Red be recognized an awarded the Coach of the Year?

NO SHOT ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? GARRETT IS THE WORST COACH IN THE HISTORY OF PROFESSIONAL, ORGANIZED ATHLETICS.

And what in Red's past history of coaching could possibly lead you to believe he is capable of coaching well enough now to earn Coach of the Year?

He would have to grow exponentially as a coach in one short year to be COTY worthy. Don't see this happening. Maybe in 5 or 6 years of more turtle-like growth? Maybe!

Cowboys were predicted to go 3-13 by some USA Today idiot, so if they win the division at 9-7, make the playoffs, that should qualify.
But then again didn't he have a 2-14 team, losing thier last 12 games in the Texans doing well, can't recall, so if they even win 6 games they would get it.
But I believe it will go to the Commanders new coach, Gruden, because he has media darling RG3 and if they win one more game than last year, he's the winner. LOL

So I doubt Jason gets it unless he goes undefeated.

no chance.

lets be real. will the defense improve? there is only one way to go and that's up, when you are one of the worst defenses ever. but with all the defensive losses and adding a bunch of no names that are nothing but rotational players. a rookie at DE and only melton as a top off season signing we can't expect this defense to be that good. the defensive line signings are similar to us signing two no name offensive linemen couple of years back and expecting a top line offensive line. how did that work out?

we probably end up somewhere in the mid 20s. if the offense plays like last year, then there is a good chance at playoffs, but with average defense we won't go far.

This is a funny thread.

I see better odds of Elvis playing at the Super Bowl half time show, dropped down via a UFO with Jimmie Hoffa as his stage manager and Bigfoot on bass.

About the same as the chance of Cowboy fans spelling his name correctly.

I like our chances at getting the 1st overall pick in next year's draft better.

I think this gets my vote for the worst reason for disliking Jason Garrett ever. It's right up there with not liking the way Tony wears his hat for me.

I'm sure it is, it's one of the most embarrassing moments of any head coach in recent memory.
