What are the odds of Terry Glenn coming back?

On that note, Romo's return chances are 50-50, also. As are TOs. And Bob Hayes's.

uhhh i am certain that Bob Hayes chances are less than 50-50.

Even if he makes it out of camp, I think they will have to use him sparingly. I don't think he will last more than 3-4 games as an every down starter. Give him 15-20 snaps a game in key situations and maybe he will be useful and can contribute.

lets say we really like one of jefferson/amendola/bradford.

then what?.we have to cut austin and hope glenn's knees hold up or put those guys on PS where they will be snatched up.I would hate it if it was the welker scenario again.

all I am saying is that if glenn's knees haven't significantly improved frm last season then he is just taking up a roster spot.Last year was a horrible situation for us with glenn and him being a non-factor.we cannot afford the hope.

I saw nothing impressive from Glenn when he did return last season. He didn't look anything like the same guy. And he added nothing to the offense.

In fact, I would say that putting him in the lineup actually detracted from what the team had been doing.

And I think the 'Terry talk' is all about damage control.

I think the team and fans both had their hopes up regarding a trade for a veteran receiver. Now that it hasn't happened, we get all the talk about the 'progress' the young guys are making and how Glenn is 'working hard to return.'

Meh.

I think the receiver positon is the one potential spot for this team's achilles' heel.

If anything happens to (or regarding) Owens, this team is in serious trouble.

A move needs to be made for another receiver.

Yeah, this is the kicker. He's been injured the last three seasons. He has a degenerative knee condition that he's had surgery on twice now. He chose the more dangerous surgery in an attempt to come back last year. He sucked up a roster spot for no effect last year as well.

Anyone who counts on having him in playable condition is making a bad bet. The guy was a trooper, but....

And yet people around here are saying he can stretch the field, he can provide speed, he can take the pressure off of T.O. and on and on.

He's done. And the sooner Jerra gets on with the process of rebuilding the WR's corps the better.

People forget but they had Javon Walker until Javon changed his mind at the last minute. I think that was going to be Jerry's Wow player and veteran WR to work with TO. Word was that Javon was in Texas and was going to sign but Oakland came calling and must have offered a better contract.

However after that Jerry says there was talk about trading for a WR. So who knows.

I do think it was damage control once they could not get Walker and realized they could not trade for Roy Williams or Bold.

Why so negative? It's not damage control, and we haven't failed yet--It's May--remember. In late June, when Roy Williams/Chad Johnson/ Anquan Boldin are leaking to their favorite reporters that they may not show up for Conditioning/Training Camp etc.

Would you want JJ going around hat in hand with no Terry Glenn looking for a desperation trade or would you prefer a lot of hopeful "We think Terry will be good to go" before we pull the trigger on a trade?

Let the offseason play out. June 1 cap cuts are coming Terry can be cut the third week of August if his knees say No! after the third preseason game, plus there will be a read on Amendola, Bradford, Jefferson and Stanback.

Yet we all know that guys like RW or Boldin would have replaced Terry, not complemented him. When it comes to #83, we're hopeful, not stupid.

Ironically, what we really need is another Terry Glenn, but no receiver of note can be had for a mere 6th round pick.
