I'm still way to high on Henson to declare anything until I see him in all 4 pre-season games....he simply has all the physical tools. Maybe it's his arm being overused, or he's thinking to much, but gosh dangit...he better step up when he has his chances!
I wouldn't worry to much about it.
As I mentioned earlier today, Parcells agenda for players is usually much different then ours. For all we know, he's working hard on exactly what Bill wants him to be working on.
If his arm is tired, Bill knows that.
If his in accuracy is a result of his new motion, Bill knows that.
What ever the issue, Bill knows it.
If in the fianl analysis BP evaluates Henson and says he doesn't have the talent, then that's the way it was always going to turn out.
I suspect Henson is a project that Parcells wants to invest in. If not, then why bother with changing the motion? He was definatly more accurate the other way. Why bother with the 6000 throws in the off season? He had to know that it would take a toll on his arm.
I don't subscrib to the theory that Big Bill had it in for Henson and this was his way of weeding him out. Wouldn't take that. Bill doesn't bother with the guys he doesn't have plans for. He cuts those guys out of hand.
This season will work out the way it's intended to, where these young QBs are concerned. All Henson needs to be concerned with is doing the things Bill wants him to be doing and working hard twords those ends. Don't over think it. Do what Bill wants and the rest will work out. I do not believe Parcells is a senile old man with delusions of grandure. I believe he has a plan and he's working twords that end.
Henson may or may not prove to be all that the Cowboys believe he can be but at this point, he has to believe that Parcells is doing whats in his best interest. The minute he moves away from this line of thinking, he'll likely find himself asking what his role might be. For better or for worse, he has to trust Parcells.
