What do we do at DT?

Do we roll into the Giants game with one backup and hope the guy from the Colts can play the position for a series?

Or do we cut the 53rd guy on the roster (Arkin/Weems?) and sign a DT from another teams practice squad?

weems is no good right now but he has some potential,i am not sure we can stash him on the PS,i would cut Arkin first.

Get a big lead and run nickel the entire second half. Then you can push defensive ends down to tackle.

Seriously, having 3 DT's will be tough considering it'll be the first game of the year and guys aren't used to playing four quarters. We really might see a DE dropping down to DT for a bit.

What are you talking about? The dline meetings were full. Not an empty seat in the room!

Not sure why you feel the need to troll in every thread.

We have 4 players on the D-line out with injury. If that even happened to a team like the Giants, their starting lineup would look very suspect as well.

If there's any inclination to acquire Marvin Austin, we'd better get on the stick in a hurry. He's already visited with Detroit and it's been reported he's liable to sign with them by the end of this week. Not much time to dilly-dally.

Switch back to 3-4, Gmen will never see it coming. It would be like a coaching chair shot.

Trust me.

I would just rotate 3 guys and try to get by this week.

Edgar Jones might be able to play some D Tackle in a pinch too if you need it.

It probably depends on how long they think Bass will be out. If it's only two weeks, then they probably try to muddle through the first two games with no additions. If it's longer, then they'll need to go get another player.

This is where Crawford being out for the year is such a killer. He has the versatility to play both DE and DT.

I can’t see any guy we’d bring in on Friday being much help on Sunday, so I think they keep their fingers crossed and wait until Monday to sign somebody.

By doing that the players salary isn’t guaranteed for the year so there’s no repercussions if they’re cut a few weeks later.

Maybe those clamouring for Seymour will get their wish on Monday.

I'm wondering is they don't cut Wilbur or Arkin to sign a young defensive tackle to help get them through week one and then maybe look at a vet like Amobe Okoye after Sunday night's game?

That's what I would do anyway.

It sounds like a decent plan to me considering Wilbur has shown almost nothing since becoming a Cowboy.
