I see an OL with very little wiggle room in depth. Those that think the OL has depth are putting their faith in players that have never played at this level, like Waletzko.

Until one of the youngsters proves himself, this OL is on thin ice.

Sure, but I consider endless crying debates mostly pointless. I don’t have to justify my opinion to you, so buzz off, Skippy!
You mean you only like to discuss your rosey reflection of everything?

You asked me to explain my concerns and i did so with plenty of facts and reasoning.

Which you chose to insult my opinion.

Ill take your rude comeback as a sign you cant dispute any of it.

Again, Torrence is not athletic enough to play in a zone heavy scheme.
I get what your saying but this staff decided that because TJ Watt plays with his hand on the ground or wouldnt hold up in 4-3 I cant remember which it was that it was better to draft Taco. it will be interesting to watch how their careers go. Many wanted Slater over Parsons but they made the right pick there

Having nothing much to go on, I feel pretty good that some of the younger players may take a step forward and round out our depth chart better than generally expected.

I am more concerned \ curious about our veterans. Particularly Tyron & Steele. If they are part of your best 5 and can stay on the field, that goes a long ways toward a stable unit. If they can't, could lead to strain all season.

I'm pretty optimistic about Waltezko but yea, it's not based on a lot lol

The starters look good the backups look less good, just like every team in the league we can not find 5 quality backups in the oline. The diference is with JG not coaching so far its not an auto loss when we get an injury to the Oline recently...thats good NFL teams have to move the ball with Olines that dont have 5 1st rounders in every other city also.

Idk why people are hung up on OL play as an excuse.

OL play influences QB performance. That's fundamental.
No doubt but regardless of PFF metrics (which I can't get in line with) by and large they did their job well enough for the QB & RB's to do theirs. All OL's lose some plays but I don't recall them getting whipped when you looked at entire games. For me, I push back if someone says they were a detriment to the team. I think they were probably a top 10 unit. They shouldn't be mentioned as an excuse for anything in my opinion.

They got whipped in the SF playoff game, but thats what happenes when a #1 defense has CD and no one else to worry about..Bracket CD, laugh at Zeke and pin your ears back for Dak..not gonna be a good day and it showed all over.

They were t-27 in passblock win rate (53%) and 15th in pressure rate. That's awful, especially considering some of their opponents.

It's not excuse making. Poor OL play yields worse QB results.

Yeah whipped, Bosa had 2 pressures and no sacks and Pollard was starting to gouge them before he broke his leg.
It was a good battle but whipped? Absolutely not

As I said, I have seen the metrics they just don't line up with what I saw.
