Twitter: What does Eberflus credit for the defensive turnaround?

Something that Schoty and Eberflus can control for sure is keeping Kenneth Murrays defensive snaps to a bare minimum and not having on the field if the game is on the line or crucial downs. He had one job against KC and that was to spy Mahomes and he was nowhere to be found or couldn't even maintain a gap. I'm surprised there's not a backup or practice squad player that could permanently replace this guy.
First of all ,that's not totally true,

Overshown that was his main job, so maybe when they were subbing for each other, they switched off,

but I saw Overshown and get juked out of his cleats, we're talking about the great Patrick Mahomes, he doesn't look like he's fast, he doesn't look like he's very shifty, but the man is who he is he's going to the Hall of Fame because he makes those subtle moves like that and makes people look silly..

You're trying to discredit a player for not being able to successfully on every down Spy Mahomes is that what you're trying to say in Andy Reid offense?

It was obvious that whoever was supposed to be spying in which I know for a fact Overshown that was his guy most of the game they both did a bad job then i've seen Murray make good plays this year as well so you guys can ride him all you want i've seen him tip passes or step into lanes that have created problems he may not be perfect but apparently the coaches are still using him because there's a good reason for it..

Apparently, they're not that deep at linebacker, and you can't give Overshown 60 snaps yet so there needs to be some substitutions...
.
Yeah, everyone gangs up on specific players, this year it seems like Diggs and Murray are getting overran with some criticism, some deserve some not they're you're overreacting all the good plays that guys like Sam Williams and even Murray, has made this year shouldn't go unnoticed, they've made enough to realize that they've helped this has been an all team effort.

And lastly I just want to remind you that there are professional players on both sides of the ball When you're saying that hours got beat and somehow they should be benched because of it you don't really look at the big picture they're paid as well to do their jobs and some of them like Patrick Mahomes do it very well I remember when most of the 90s teams had like three running plays They joked around about how the offensive line sometimes looked over and told the defense what they were running still couldn't stop Emmitt Smith even though they knew what was coming that's funny right some great defenses they faced knew we were going to run the ball and they still couldn't stop it..

I mean this happens all around the league you can game plan all you want you can be prepared and ready sometimes that other pro that other player just as talented, you can lose that battle...

Defensive turnaround?? are you serious? look at our Defensive ranking,Eberflus is the worst Defensive coach we have ever had and we had some bad ones.
But man, you don't understand we're talking about before and after the bye, it is huge turnaround since the bye week, They're still mid,

but that's better than being in the cellar, we talked about this all year, if you can give us an average defense, just enough to give us a few extra stops ,not get gashed as much, shorten some of these drives, turn what were touchdowns before the bye week into field goals, or punts..

that's what you need for this offense, a few more stops, and they've been giving it to us...

And while I agree I don't like Matt Eberpoo, it was unfair he was missing 30% of his roster from injury..
.
Also ,is it really fair to judge the team as a whole the whole coaching staff to right before the season starts you lose your best player and Parsons and didn't really have a plan to recover from that..

So, Jerry finally steps up and gets some players at the trade deadline, all the other players are coming back off injury, and now the team looks like it probably should have or at least a close proximity of what it should have from game one, which it did not...

So again, I'm not sticking up for Matt, but he is now given the right ingredients to make a 3-star meal ,not hot dogs and ramen bro that's what he had before he was asked to play great with hot dogs and ramen...

Yes, because we had some much talent on defense and they underperformed.

You do realize a pass rush helps DB's.

You do realize when the front 7 can handle the run game, DB's no longer have to worry about play action
Of course. But when you go back to the game against the Giants, Wilson had the ball out in no time at all. That wasn't a pass rush issue. Some of the other games, yeah.

Do we have the same DB's???

Imo it's because we have a run defense and a pass rush once again.

Got to say, I think the parsons trade was a good one.

It was a great trade other than the timing. It should have been done before the draft.

Whatever it is, it's working.

The total yards are a little skewed because of the Raiders shutdown. Yard-wise, we are still very similar to the pre-trade defense numbers if you just take out the Raiders game. But I can't find sites that break down November, so not sure how we compare with TDs and Redzone which you can just see have improved. Not shutting down teams except the Raiders, but just executing, including an entire second half against the Eaglets. Also, in the sites that I could get data for November, looks like our offense is even better in November versus averages pre-trade. Give those guys some credit too.

Total yards without context can be misleading. Dallas stopped the Eagles at 21 points. They held the Chiefs at 14 points for quite some time. These breaks in scoring helped the Cowboys stay in games and come back. They couldn't stop a nose bleed before then. Who cares what the total yards are.

For Eberflus. And so is my answer to your Eberflus question.

at this point let him play outside and see if he wants to try and stay in the NFL if he doesnt then bench him and dont look back.
Don't risk it with Diggs unless the game doesn't matter. We're playing with some of the best offense and doing fine.

Let the guys who earned their time play this out.

Diggs isn't ready anyway.

Nailed it
No he didn't. MountingEeyore leaves out one important factor.

It was the Chiefs.

Just too funny y'all can't see that the defense is better.

And I was one of Everfluff's biggest critics.

At this point, you're embarrassing yourself.

that was my point...

Not even close. You must also evaluate the talent he has to work w/. How do you guys not understand the talent factor? I mean, this is basic basic stuff.

In 1989, we were 1-15 w/ the 27th ranked O. So, Jimmy Johnson is the worst HC we've ever had?
