What Happened on the Hendershot Tripping?

And isn't that a fifteen yard penalty? So what does that do with the field position if it were called on the Lions? Would that be in addition to the seven Pollard gained? That would have placed the ball on the fifteen yard line or so. Would Dallas have run the clock down in three plays and then brought in Thunder Leg to add three points and put it out of reach?

My opinion, for what it's worth, is that missed call changed the game and caused all this confusion, ultimately giving the Lion's fans the idea they were cheated.

You lost, Kitty Cats.

At that point in the game and them not showing the replay Plus the feeling that Hendershot has penalty everytime he is in which isnt often would lead to us feeling that way. After review the kid did nothing wrong and its a terrible call
That’s exactly how I felt Saturday night and then Sunday after reviewing it.

It’s a personal foul
So the 15 is added on to the end of the play.
Therefore Dallas would have had a first down and 10 yards to go with the clock stopped at 2:00. Detroit still would have had two timeouts left.
Thunder Leg did in fact come onto the field and made the kick but it didn’t put the game out of reach.

We should've ran the clock out.

There’s another post on another thread of a slow motion video. It’s clear the Lion was trying to trip Pollard.
The funny thing is that nobody was tripped or even close to being tripped.
Unreal that a flag came out
Just has to be the actual extension of the leg with intent is my understanding.

Lol, all some are talking about is that lions were robbed of the 2 points conversion. No mention of the blown tripping call. If that’s called correctly then game is over. And on the 2 point conversion there were 2 flags. Both on lions. One for illegal touch and also illegal formation.

The spread.
Yep. Trying to trip is not tripping. I thought they called Hendershot for holding. He had his hands inside shoulder pads. But it’s just another outrageous call or non call. It’s happening most every game. Not just our team.

I think Hutch tried to fool the ref into thinking he got tripped with that action and the ref didn't see the whole thing, only Hutch's reaction and assumed. Hugh Jass blown call.

But on the 2-point play, if 68 was announced like Detroit wanted it wouldn't have been a penalty in that formation from what I hear. Could be wrong.

They always call tripping when it's attempted. That's why they called it. The female ref just must be dumb for not realizing which player she saw do it.

The woman NFL official incorrectly called this trip on Hendershot, who all y’all want hung from the gigantic scoreboard at AT&T stadium. When it should’ve been called on Detroit for trying to trip Pollard. Completely blown call AGAINST Dallas and caused all the ensuing drama
It's been fun watching the media twist in the wind destroying the same officiating crew that has a female official that has been responsible for some of the horrendous calls.........the social experiment is usually to be defended at all costs.

I'm surprised them missed that. I thought their highschool and collegiate career playing middle linebacker would have been good experience for noticing that.

Who knows at this point. The whole thing was messed up.. The tripping to the 2 point play.. This needs to straightened out because it happens most games across the league.. Parsons getting held a lot. Blown or non calls. It really makes the league look suspect for .. well you know.

I don’t get it because Hendershot never stuck his leg out. Must have been the jersey colors.

Hutchinson threw his legs out on purpose trying to sell a holding call and ended up getting a tripping one instead. Officials wrong either way.
