What happened to the big plans for Dunbar and Escobar

but I don't see the pass catching player that he should have become. Sometimes players just can't be themselves playing behind a legend like Witten and that might be the case but so far I have not been impressed with Escobar on the field.

JMO but he is doing great and blocking better. I guess we will have to wait until JWit sits for a few series to see him get extended playing time. I don't understand what is going on behind closed doors but I know I would like to see him more involved.

It's interesting because I thought in Week 1, even down 7-0 and 14-3 early, it felt like Dunbar had a lot more packages in that first half than we've seen in any game since.

I've loved just about everything about the offensive philosophy we have tried to implement through three weeks, and think we've done a marvelous job trying to protect a QB returning from injury. My biggest complaint is that I don't think we've done enough to find a way to get about 4 more touches to Dunbar each week. Partially because I think he's a decent player in the making, but primarily because I think moving forward that is going to be necessary to keep Murray healthy.

I think I read today he's on pace for 400 carries. That's a mighty number for any back, particularly one who has struggled over the years to stay healthy.

The focus on Dez and Murray has come at the cost of basically our entire offense, and it isn't a good thing.

Escobar was a wasted pick. So was Street in IMO. They should have selected defense.

In two of the three games so far, whatever plan we may have had for any player went out the window pretty quickly. 4 Early turnovers and down 28-0 against SF and down 21-0 against the Rams kind of negated whatever plan we had for Escobar and Dunbar in my opinion.
