Romo is out. Dak is in. If Dak stinks it up, the Cowboys are screwed.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you everything is going to be ok. If I did, then I would be trying to sell you something.

Which I'm not.

Buy what you want. From who you want.

But since its me, I say, just wait and see what happens, broseph. The answers are coming.

I'm positive that if Dak plays like a rookie making his first start in this game everyone will react reasonably and in no way over analyse everything regarding his future as the starter. From my experience on the board everyone posts moderate, mature reactions to losses.....
Someone here needs a peepee test... :)

If he stinks tomorrow you continue to play him. If he continue to stink for 4-5 games it will be time for Mark to start.
I respectfully disagree. I think a stinky Dak is better than a Mark Sanchez. If Sanchez knew the playbook then maybe. But I think our best chance of winning is with Dak until Romo gets back.

That's what we did last year when romo went down, brought in a guy who didn't know the playbook and it didn't go good. Bringing in a less talented veteran QB and he doesn't know teh playbook would be disastrous, like last year. Dak is the man until Romo gets back.

What is the QB from Denver called, Sim____, the guy that beat the Panthers. Basically a rookie Qb in his first game. If he can play you telling me that Dak is not head over heals better than him? Dak will be fine and he is going to torch the Giants. All of the sudden the Giants are a Super bowl contender this year to some of you in here.

:lmao:

If he stinks it up, you'll have all the people on here that's been kissing his rear all preseason and already annointing him the next franchise savior for the next 12 years saying that he's just a rookie and that it was to be expected. Nevermind the fact that the vast majority of them seem to have never pondered the idea that he is indeed just a rookie and that that normally comes with it growing pains and struggles.

If he stinks it up then judging by the majority of other rookie QB's, it's normal. The kid has talent and his first game in the NFL won't make or break where he goes from here.

I doubt Dak gets out of the game without an INT or two tomorrow. I think Jenkins will have him bite on a read, and he's a bit of a ballhawk. But I think otherwise, he'll still put us in a position to win.

To answer the OP's original question. If Dak stinks it up I will go on several rants about Jerry and Garrett. That way of dealing with disappointment has worked in the past. And then by Tuesday I'll be fine and remembering that it's a week to week league and one game doesn't make or break an NFL career.

But sunday night I will blame Jerry and Jason. That's kind of my plan.

Since were the Cowboys and everything about us is overblown, one of two things will happen:

1. By Sunday night and into Monday, the league and the sports world will be saying, the Cowboys are about to be a problem

2. Sunday night into Monday we'll be the laughing stock of the league. They'll spin it as if the Cowboys said Dak was the next Wilson-Brady. They won't mention that a lot of them have jumped on the Dakwagon.. The Cowboys thought this guy could be Russell Wilson!!! :lmao::lmao2:No wonder they haven't won a SB in 20 years! That type of thing.

That's why this game is the most intriguing opener since the SB days for me. We may or may not have a big time QB!

What will the vibe be here? Will we forget he was drafted to be 3rd string and forced into the starting lineup?

First and foremost, I don’t think Dak “Stinks it up” if the rest of the team raise their level of play.

That of course is a big “IF” as we’ve not seen them do that without Romo in quite some time.

I do expect him to make rookie mistakes but if he does stink it up, then I wait until next week to see if he/the team improves.

As it stands we don’t have much of a choice.

I'll give you all Jeff's Golden Guarantee that Dak's gonna gonna blow up, and we'll win the game.

2 passing TD's & one rushing TD.

Sit back, and enjoy....

This isn't the NFL of old. The game is geared towards protecting the QB and the offense and it allows young QB's a greater chance to be successful early. I think most of these kids have trouble transitioning to the NFL offenses because they're asked to do things that they've never done like taking snaps under center and seven step drops. That's what these kids struggle with as they try to get acclimated to the speed of the game.

Dak has shown me enough that it's obvious to me that he's got the tools to succeed and I feel much better that Dak is playing instead of Moore. But the one thing I want answered this year is can we win with Prescott? If we feel after this season that he's not Romo's successor, then we need to look at QB's next year and the year after that until we get it right. But I really think this kid's got a chance.

Giants are the '85 Bears on d, and their offense is the Kurt Warner Rams.

Romo is out.(for 4-7 games). Dak is in.(until Romo gets back this year...then maybe for good if he gets reinjured...or next year). If Dak stinks it up, the Cowboys are screwed.
