What Happens If We Blow Out Commanders?

Have you watched the Commanders play during the past month?

Yes. They don't impress me none. We also dominated the Packers and shut down their offense completely while they let the Packers gain over 400 yards and moved the ball up and down the field on them. I saw them struggle with a weak Bengals team. Lost to the Lions.

Am I supposed to be blown away?

Do yo want some Tylenol?

I want you to realize that on Commanders boards everywhere there are threads titled "what if we blow out the Cowboys?" That are getting the same response except by blind homers

The skins are playing very very well and this is likely to be a close game

They've lost to the Lions, tied the Bengals, snuck by the Vikings, and beat the Packers. We've played two of those teams and did pretty well against them, but we haven't played anyone?

I expect it to be a tough game but I do think Zeke will have a big day. This OL dominated in the 1st game but Zeke was no where close to where he is now. On defense if the skins have one major weakness it is their inability to stop the run. I think this games comes down to how the Cowboys defense plays. Cousin in the 1st meeting was able to put up 364 vs Dallas and now they are able to add a running game with Rob Kelley. While I would never predict a blow out I do think this team will be ready to show the nation when all eyes will be on them to show they are for real.

It would definitely catch me by surprise. A game versus A game, we win every time, but the Commanders are red hot right now. We just seem to play awful on turkey day lately, hopefully the Rookies change that

Red hot? Their last four games are loss, tie, win, win. I don't get this red hot talk.

What's ****ed up is that either NYG, WAS, or DAL could clearly have one of the top records in the conference, and be left in the dark for the playoffs.

It won't be a blowout.

Commanders will be tough

Other than controlling the clock, the key to victory is like the last game. Don't give up big plays, make them go the length of the field, and don't give up TDs in the red zone.

Another tough game, as much as I hate them they are playing good ball. They completely tore up the Packers last night. I am worried about our lack of pass rush and pass coverage.
My worries as well. Their receiving core - including TEs - is legit. Still - they have to deal with our O also. We've come a long way since week 2

And no turnovers.

I just checked and you're kind of right, actually. They squeaked by the Vikings and put on a show against the Packers. I guess we all have short-term memory and just remember their Sunday night match up.

Crawford and Lawrence need to bring it. I'm not talking about flashing on one or two plays in the 4th quarter, they need to bring it consistently throughout the game. The Skins have playmakers all over their offense, they'll pick us apart if the dline plays pattycake all day.

I've been watching some old games lately, man we used to rag on Ware and Spencer but they brought it 10x more in the pass rush than this current group.

To me that is the biggest key to the game, getting pressure and a big pass rush on the "like' king....no, not our own like king in risen, but the "you like that " king Kirk boy.
We need it to be consistent and get those sacks, get him rattled and out of their game. So he can't get those long passes against our secondary. We leave too many wide open guys, and we need to cover Reed.

I feel we can can move the ball and score, and this game Dak and Zeke are much improved and they will know what to expect from their defense. I doubt they have time to throw in any new wrinkles to confuse or try to confuse Dak. And if they do, Linehan will make the adjustment.

I still feel it will be a long close hard fought game.

I don't think you can look at past W/L comparison and tell how well we'll play this week. We have been on a major roll (uncharted territory) and I think a lot of zoners are waiting/anticipating the first let down. It's just natural to think it cannot go on forever. That said, we tend to bring all our opponent's game down a notch or two with our offense. Not sure who's going to win but you have 2 high powered offenses and 2 decent defenses. It will come down to turnovers/ball control and special teams for field position. Last possession wins? Can't wait.

Oh I think this will be a good game, I'm just reacting to the "Cowboys haven't played anyone" and "Commanders are smolderingly hot" comments. They beat a team at home we beat on the road, they tied a team we dominated, they lost to the Lions, but their wins somehow make them red hot world beaters and ours are a mirage against poor opponents?

If everyone remains healthy on defense we can win it all. We will need Claiborne and Church back. Getting Claiborne back may be the difference between a super bowl bid, or not. I think the toughest losses to overcome on defense right now would be Lee, Byron Jones, Carr and Brown. Our defensive backfield has allowed our team to flourish as much as the offense has.

I am hoping the defensive backs coach starts working his magic with the DB McFadden. He is the weak link right now.
