What has made Romo so inaccurate?

My gosh he was 20 out of 30 against NYG. That's a very healthy 66% completion percentage.

Give the Giant and Pitt defenses some credit.

Why is it that Cowboy fans never take into consideration the quality of the opponent when making general comments about the performance level of the team or a certain player?

I think you're right but he was throwing high in the first two series and he was getting protection then. I don't think it's just one thing.

I do wish the OL would protect him better. With time he is deadly.

He is still playing hard and making plays and he got the brave award last nite.Have u noticed how innaccurate he is on long or intermediate routes lately.Seems the pressure or maybe he is gunshy from the finger? He seems nervous in the pocket. He did protect the ball last nite, but he missed witten wide open,a few were horribly overthrown,etc.... maybe its just me but I think maybe they should trim the routes some here n there. He used to win games for us now he seems to becoming more a busdriver and if that works then so be it i just notice this change, especially when pressured bad.Could it be Procter?IDK.

Its a good question. What is going on? Is he just in a funk?

We need to roll him out once in a while...

He needs to roll out...especially when he is throwing from the endzone. Whenever we are behind our own 10 yard line I can barely stand to watch as he continues to get creamed all year long!!

that is something he is only doing a fraction of compared to last year. I think with Romo, everyone wants to naturally turn him into this pure pocket passer, but I think he excells when he improvises and makes plays with his legs.

Let him roll out, let his natural talents play the game..... if he learned the mechanics and the properties of proper throwing motions, etc... then that will only make him more versatile but you cannot box him up in a shell and expect perfection.

Romo is definately off. He's missing throws that he usually makes and pressure isn't always the reason. Hope he gets back on track soon. Love to watch the guy play:)

I think everybody expects perfection.Romo is the best QB we've had since Aikman, people just tend to forget thr bad years we had with inept QB's.

The guy was 66% against a good NYG defense. Not exactly very inaccurate :banghead:. Cowboys have gone against the #1 Defense last week, and will go against the #2/3 next week. Got to give credit to your opponents. I'll take 66% any day.

That's all well and good but Romo has been missing alot of those throws that he usually makes... He'll get back on track tho. He isn't just your average QB and thats why we've come to expect him to make those throws...

I agree that he is missing some of those throws he usually makes. He's also has only a 1.3% lower inaccurate rate than last year. That's a very small margin. His qb rating is also higher than his previous 2 years. I He will get back on track. I think the more he plays the more he will forget about his pinkie. I just hope the line can protect him so he wont reinjure it.

Brad Sham and Babe Lauffenberg have talked on multiple occasion about route running of the receivers...

The said Owen just cut off his route on a possible touchdown--before Romo even had released the ball he was braking.

Romo had maybe 4 bad passes. Other times receivers just aren't where they are supposed to be.

...on the one pass to T.O. The Giants corner had just got tangled up and went to the ground trying to jam T.O. and they couldn't hook up.

If the pass was caught T.O. was gone to the house.

Romo could barely walk out there, posts a 113.7 QB rating with no turnovers against a vaunted defense, wins the game .... and he's being called a bus driver? This from a guy routinely throwing for 300-plus just a few weeks ago?

Not trying to sound rude, but I just understand this thread. Not many quarterbacks are going to run up the score against Pittsburgh and New York.

And inaccurate? He completed 20 of 30 balls last night. Sure a few were off, but again, not being able to walk with a bad back will do that to a few balls.

Beat me to it. 20 of 30 against the Giants with no INTs is a great accomplishment. I can't think of a quarterback that has thrown 30 passes and completed them all, especially taking shots down the field...

When did Aikman ever have Romo Stats? Completions %, passer ratings?

He had Emmitt, Irvin and a DOMINANT Defense. Romo is doing great back starting....
