The point was that Zeke is among the best rbs on football and he's ALREADY paid like it.

That would not be true at almost any other position you'd draft at 4 assuming you got a good player.

Comparing a RB to a CB to a DE is fundamentally flawed. Then, to turn around and claim "this DE was almost as good as this RB" is silly.

And people still saying we shoulda took Ramsey

And before people come in here and say well we had the same success with Murray as our lead back, Murray was in his fourth year when he did that and Zeke is a rookie. Zeke will continue to get better and better while Murray reached his ceiling.

Here are the most relevant factors to me in this whole RB (Zeke) vs CB (Ramsey) debate.

In 2015 Dallas has a regular season record of 4-12 and picks #4 in the draft. Jacksonville has a record of 5-11 and picks #5 in the draft. Dallas takes Zeke and Jacksonville selects Ramsey in the 2016 draft.

In 2016, Dallas finishes with a record of 13-3 while Jacksonville has a record of 3-13. Zeke clearly helps Dallas improve its win total. Ramsey demonstrably does not help Jacksonville improve its win total.

In the 2017 draft, Jacksonville takes a RB with the #4 pick (the same pick Dallas used to select Zeke in the previous year).

Admire that home run ball as it travels out of the park. Run the bases, high five everyone and then I suggest running a victory lap.

The NFL has made the RB an after thought. Dallas has built a line and draft a RB that built amazing chemistry. Jacksonville took a RB this year at 4 and Dallas drafted and rebuilt the secondary.

It amazes me how people are so stuck on this. Thankfully Will McClay and company run the team. They chose a player that made an immediate impact.
