What if we drafted Ramsey, would Darius had rushed for 1400 yds?

Jalen Ramsey 5th overall pick in the draft 16 games - 65 tackles and 2 int

Anthony Brown 189th overall pick in the draft 10 games - 55 tackles and 1 int

The fact you think posting tackle and interception totals somehow equates to a cornerback's actual ability on the field explains why you have the take you do.

Ramsey was rated the 9th best corner in the league last year as a rookie. Opposing QBs only had a 69.0 QBR against him and completed on 53.3% of the passes thrown at him.

Add to the fact Ramsey was tasked with shadowing opposing teams' #1 WR week after week when Brown wasn't even a starter last year.

I'm a fan of Brown and his potential but the comparison is silly.

Comparison is for tackles and ints only. And I think Brown wasn't even starting until Mo Claiborne got hurt. So his numbers would have been better if he started from day 1.

Here are the most relevant factors to me in this whole RB (Zeke) vs CB (Ramsey) debate.

In 2015 Dallas has a regular season record of 4-12 and picks #4 in the draft. Jacksonville has a record of 5-11 and picks #5 in the draft. Dallas takes Zeke and Jacksonville selects Ramsey in the 2016 draft.

In 2016, Dallas finishes with a record of 13-3 while Jacksonville has a record of 3-13. Zeke clearly helps Dallas improve its win total. Ramsey demonstrably does not help Jacksonville improve its win total.

In the 2017 draft, Jacksonville takes a RB with the #4 pick (the same pick Dallas used to select Zeke in the previous year).

What was Brown's QBR and completion percentage against?

Of course. But it sticks out as a noticeably touchy subject with you, even now.
It stands out because I'm advocating that we shouldn't have taken a fantasy football darling that plays a position that is near and dear to Cowboys fans.

Let me be clear. Zeke is an awesome talent.

However, you "win" the draft by getting as much excess value from each pick as you can. That value comes in two forms. First, in getting a player who outperforms his draft spot and secondly by getting a player who for 4 to 5 years will be cheaper than his play warrants. It's hard to outplay your draft slot at 4. But it should be easy to get elite production at a cheap cost. It's here where Zeke fails miserably. This is irrefutable.

This is an embarrassing analysis.

To be clear.... YOU should be embarrassed.

This is an embarrassing analysis.

Its not an analysis ....... its stats .......facts and they are actually irrefutable .......unlike your opinions.

You should be embarrassed to think that Ramsey is anywhere close to being the impact player that Zeke is.

In your mind ....... and that is not irrefutable.
Please compare the contract of Joey Bosa who was one of the best defensive ends in football to the contracts of the best defensive ends in football.

Now please compare the contract of Zeke who was one of the best backs in football to the contracts of the best backs in football.

Please then explain Zeke's supposed excess value. Good luck.

You win the draft by taking players that help you win football games. Zeke has demonstrated he can do that. That question is still out on Ramsey.

Why would I compare him to Bosa? This argument is about Ramsey.

Zeke's contract is worth 25 million rounded up
Ramsey's contract is worth 23 1/2 million rounded up

Zeke was a star and Ramsey was average ....... we got the better deal.

(just for fun Joey Bosa deal is worth 26 million ......... and he was almost as good as Zeke but was taken ahead of him so we had no chance of getting him anyway)

Comparing a RB to a CB to a DE is fundamentally flawed. Then, to turn around and claim "this DE was almost as good as this RB" is silly.

We're comparing rushing yards to interceptions to sacks? Textbook definition of apples-to-oranges.

Read my post again and start over.

The point was that Zeke is among the best rbs on football and he's ALREADY paid like it.

That would not be true at almost any other position you'd draft at 4 assuming you got a good player.

And why does he keep calling Ramsey average?
