What if we lose when Romo comes back?

If the Cowboys lose against Miami it's very simple. You break the glass and mash the panic button as hard as you can.

I think people (including me) are holding out hope that Romo the Jedi is going to walk in and work some magic.

It's possible the Cowboys win those games with Romo but the defense continues not being able to make critical stops which is what cost the Cowboys a number of games WITH Romo during those 8-8 seasons. On opening day it took a last ditch drive by Romo to win the game after the defense was gashed by the run in the closing minutes. The Cowboys held the lead in 6 of their 7 losses but the defense can't make critical stops. I'm aware we've had offensive issues due to the running game and the QB situation but we've held the lead in every game we've played except against NE and the defense can't hold.

All very good points, my friend.:hammer:

Romo doesn't play D or Special Teams or block for runs/passes, so it's possible we lose. But he will increase our chance of winning because he's more likely to make plays and keep drives going.

But of course it's a team sport and he can only do so much.

"I know I've made almost 18,000 posts - here are 5 semi-positive Romo posts, from 3 years ago. See! I told you I was a Romo fan!"

What did Cole tell that fan on twitter? Lol.

I have positive Romo posts all over the board and many more if you click on that link and read all my posts in that particular thread. Those posts were just a small sample. If I hated Romo it would have been exposed in that thread because he was coming off a dreadful performance against Washington with a playoff birth on the line and the entire fanbase was down on him. Review the thread and see how many were done with him and didn't want him resigned. They were living in the moment and living in the moment is something I don't do with the Cowboys.

If I hate Romo explain these posts from 3 years ago. While I was defending him you and Burmafrd who always claim I hate him were no where to be found in that thread. Now go do what you always do when your BS is exposed...disappear!

"More has been accomplished under Romo than any QB the Cowboys have had since Aikman. The bottom line is he's only 32 and is still playing at a very high level. Had the Cowboys beat Washington in the season finale we wouldn't be having this discussion. Fans want Romo gone because they're frustrated. He's the most important player on the team and the Cowboys can't be competitive without him."

"You won't have Romo because you traded him for the pick so what do you do? No matter what the Cowboys did with the pick they would struggle to win 5 games next season without a solid QB. This isn't the year to be trading for the #1 overall pick. I would rather trade Ware for a #1 somewhere than not have a QB I can win with for the next who knows how many years."

"The Cowboys will end up in the basement of the NFC East without Romo. Check all the games the team won this past season because of him. The Cowboys would have won no more than 3-4 games with Orton."

"Without Romo you lose hope because he at least gives the Cowboys that."

"The Cowboys have a number of issues that would make it virtually impossible for the team to compete without Romo. They have an average defense that continues to fold at the end of every season."

"The Cowboys will not be competitive without Romo or a QB comparable to him."

"No plan is guaranteed but my plan keeps Romo in Dallas at least 3 years allowing us to be competitive and giving us time to find and develop his replacement."

There's a possibility we lose this week & if that happens, I'll deal with it like the other 7 losses. Not be happy & watch the next week & hope we win.

Everyone is assuming we go on a run when Romo returns. But just looking at the alternative. If he lose to Miami and Carolina, what do we do then?

I do think nothing will change.

Romo fanboys will still suck his balls.

Jerry haters will still rant over Jerry.

Garrett lovers will still love his haircolor and vice versa.

Women beaters will still punsh their women.

And all the others i left out will still talk about the weather.

And me still being pissed and frustrated.

No way we are losing, just wait and see.
Romo not only makes this team MUCH better on the field but his mere makes everybody else elevate their game.
Don't think we will make the playoffs because of the 2-7 record, but I'd be schoked if we don't finish with a 5-2 record or better this last 7 games.

Oh there will be BIG headlines about how Romo is not the savior we all thought he was. I'm thinking this team will look much better with Romo. The problem is Jerry will see that and all these holes we have won't get filled to the extent they should. We need a new secondary for starts......

Think about the likely outcome if Romo works a miracle. Say he gets us to 8-8 and we miss the playoffs. Jerry will think if we had just won half of the games that we would have won the division.

That is what I am expecting, to finish around 7-9 for the season.........................even with Romo, I think the Panther game and the Packer game at Lambeu are losses and we win the rest.

So 5-2 with Romo to finish the season 7-9 and here is the kicker..............the Giants probably win the division at 8-8................that loss to the Bucs probably costed us a division title.

As Nick Eatman said, that was one of the worst losses in franchise history.
