zeke will come crawling back game 11 in the likely worst case scenario.
the team has not taken a win when you can approach.
look at 2017-2018 when they signed nobody worth signing.

they are simply preying on an old man that is jerry
they think he will break
if they break, the cap plan will explode.
If he if he stays away that long the knuckle head in him will pop out.

actually i think a 6 game suspension would be good for the team.
give dak a 6 game tryout without his crutch.
trial by fire for his contract!

i dont really care as long as i win.

You wouldn’t. Zeke would show up in week 11, we’d be 5-5 and all the fans would be crying, saying we would have been 8-2 with Zeke. Then at the end of the season, when we miss the playoffs, you have 2 choices. Extend Garrett because YOU caused this distraction to linger or let his contract expire. My guess, is you let it expire. In a vacuum, the right move, but good luck filling the vacancy after every coach hears what happened from that agent. And before you say coaches would like your hard stance, your wrong and...coaches have agents too.

There’s a reason no one negotiates this way

if we are 5-5 without zeke, the team is not a true contender.
go get the better draft pick.

u got a player wanting to a contract 2 years before the contract ends.

Boy, you should've kept that tampon in yer' blo-hole,as if ever a feller's huntin' hound was 180° off the track,as what you are? As yer' obviously & proud in what you perceive as to being something along the lines as to my laying a testimonial down as to yer' prowess? LMAO ,it has done hurdled plumb clear over laughable & a good two foot past that hilarious casing-liner in the process as well ,to where it lit smack dab in the middle of ludicrous,,, As I was relaying to that feller I was talking to, about my fleeing fleetingly away from the *******ery of yer' seemingly twisty convoluted Chinaman's slopeheaded logic being an utter misappropriation of my time,,, but go ahead gourd head, bang yer' gong:rolleyes:

that was the franchise tag.

Yea, you said you had 2 years and the franchise tag. Pittsburgh thought they had leverage with the franchise tag. It’s not as much leverage as you think. Again, he can show up for the final 6 games in each of the next 2 seasons, just to get to free agency.

it is negotiations.
it does not mean u will use it.
it is just leverage
in this case, it is 2 years and the tag
that is essentially forever as far as a rb is concerned.

It kind of bothers me how personally people are taking this Zeke holdout. A fan on another forum I'm on was discussing the Colts fans booing Luck's retirement, and described this phenomenon perfectly: "I'm a fan of the team, not the players. I want my team to win, win, win, and if you hurt my team's chance at winning, then screw you!"

This is business, guys. You guys don't care if Zeke gets paid, but Zeke cares if Zeke gets paid. He's using the leverage he has to bargain for a new deal and is working within the confines of his contract (people who say "he's violating his contract! - he is working 100% within the confines of his contract. And people here are saying we should insult his mother in response. SMDH.

He has 2 years left on his contract. He signed that contract which means he intends to play within that scope of the contract. He is breaking that contract right now by being in Cabo.

So no he is not within 100% of his contract.

No, it's not. Teams with suspended players will get a salary cap credit in the current season for the amount of the suspensions.

Holding out and having leverage are two different things. Some players have more than others, and will be treated differently.

How incredibly childish. Good luck getting any agent to work with you after that nonsense.

Again, nonsense. By the way, there are rules/laws governing agency. You should probably read them.

Even if we were "credited" that portion of the cap not spent during a suspension how can we plan around that?

You cant have 15 mpy set aside and then have your player suspended indefinitely and still manage to plan moving forward. What happens if the player is reinstated one or two years down the road? Are you supposed to always have that money set aside incase of reinstatement? Maybe I'm wrong but such a situation seems very limiting. I would hate having to hold back on paying more desirable players because my knucklehead may come back some day soon.
