I had such high hopes for this group going into the season.

We had talent, ability, improvement and growth from previous seasons.

Osi and Gallimore looked posed to have break out seasons.

Now they are little more than speed bumps to the opposition.

I mean things are so bad that we had to make a mid season trade for Hankins.

Is it their positional coaching being poor ? Injuries ?

I am not good at watching game tape and grading out players, but I am just curious if anyone here has any ideas on what ails

this group of players?

The better question is..............Why did you have such high hopes? It was a big weakness last year and we didnt bring in any big FA's or draft anyone of consequence. Why would the result change?

Both are 3techs. Pretty much every scouting report said it would be a mistake to try Galimore at 1tech. They tried… it went as predicted!

Whats wrong with our DTs ? THEY'RE TOO SMALL AND NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH. Every team in this league with a good run defense has at least 1 thing in common. Big powerful DTs. 330+ lbs or more. Just think about this.... Fletcher Cox might be the smallest 1T on the Eagles. He's pushing 320 and is as immovable as a Coke machine. All the schemes in the world don't hide a lack of power when the other team knows they can bully you all over the field.

I have wanted a monster DT for a long time. We just don't prioritize the position and it shows every year when we get gashed in teh run game.

Gallimore is such a huge disappointment this year. I really expected him to show up in a good way in 2022. Gallimore is a free agent after next season and I have a feeling he will go the way Collins went. When his contract was up the Cowboys didn't try to re-sign him. Odighizuwa is still young and I'd wait and see what he looks like next year. DTs take a few years to develop. But I said months ago, Trysten Hill was the best DT of the bunch and I still think that is true. I have a feeling Ridgeway will turn out to be the player the Cowboys wanted in the middle but they stupidly exposed him to waivers.

Since the Cowboys won't spend in free agency to fill the position, and they don't seem to think it's worth a 1st round pick, I think DT is a problem the defense is going to have for a long time. If they had a Dexter Lawrence on this team they would be so much better all around.

No studs and an overall lack of talent.
