What is it about the Cowboys that makes you want to cheer for them?

These are no longer the Dallas Cowboys, the Jones-McCarthy regime is now the Arlington Suckers

Nothing, I want them to go 0-17 so Jerry realizes he’s the issue . That’s where I’m at as a fan.

Do you admire the Joneses?
Do you think the Cowboys franchise still personnifies the commitment to excellence that the Cowboys of the 90's and before did?
Do you think the ethics of the Cowboys players and organization are the kind you want your kids to have?
Do you still believe they are the greatest franchise in sports?
Do you simply like the colors of their uniforms?
Do you still hold out hope that they will return to being the franchise and conform to the standards that made them great?
What is it that makes you love them?
They are my local team.

Why doesn’t everyone root for their local team?

I've been asking myself this same question the last 3 or so years.

I actually don't like the team. If I weren't a Dallas native, I probably would despise them.

I do not think they are emblematic of their legacy and I don't think they'll return to that until the Jones family is gone.

Really, this is the Jones family circus and if not for sentimental value, I'd have tapped out years ago.

So no matter what, you are a fan. No matter what they represent now?
Really?
You don’t have to support the owner or all the moving parts to still root for the team to win.

I don’t always like the leadership and policies of our country but I still support it.

We can remain cynical and critical rising up to speak out on different issues but for 60 minutes at least 17 weeks a year can come together to cheer on the team.

If you are honest with yourself you would not have to ask and I doubt you really care why others are now.

It is what it is.

Right, the Jone$ family is embarrassing . Jethro remains the most hated sports personality in DFW area but the Cowboys remain the most loved. Not sure what’s so difficult to understand.

I’m beginning to wonder if the OP is just trolling Cowboys Nation.

Two guys were arguing on the school bus over who would win Super Bowl 12. I sided with the guy who liked Dallas. Dallas won.

Nothing in the last 25+ years. It's like a good woman gone bad, you gotta hang on until the bitter end. You keep hoping she'll stop eating donuts for breakfast, ice cream for lunch, and pizza for supper.

They have been since 1974...I got to run 3 camps with Randy White...another 3 with George Teague, Everson Walls, Larry Brown Solomon Page and a few others from around the league. Even welcomed them into my home for a BBQ. I wore Eric William's SB ring at lunch one day. Met at length with Wade and his staff, even Garrett and he sucks. Even got to meet and have about a 30 minute conversation with Jerry.....so, as you can see....I am a huge fan. I don't talk the talk, I walk the walk.
You had me with the Ultimate Legion of Fans badge. The rest is just impressive.

Turning my back on the cowboys, would be like turning my back on Tom landry roger staubach ,bob lilly and the rest of my childhood heroes..no matter what this team has become,it's those men that have helped form my allegiance to the cowboys.

They were the guys I grew up watching, too.
But those guys wouldn't expect fans to be loyal to these guys and the circus that's going on now.

Thing is I'm definitely not loyal these gutless prima Donnas playing today,I'm loyal to the history of the men that coached and played for this once proud franchise and the star... that's all we got left .

Many of those guys we grew up watching are loyal to the Cowboys this era as they are often at Cowboy games and supporting events.
