excuses excuses excuses, there was nothing wrong with Romo, he played the second half last week and practiced all week...
The pass protection was good, just quit please. He had ample time to throw the ball, no team will have ALL DAY, EVERY PLAY.Pass protection was average which, when compared to last year, may make today's protection look good to some...
But it was average...
I didn't think the pass protection was all that bad. They've been worse.
I would wager you've never had bruised ribs..
Normally I would agree with that assessment, but last week, he looked slow as well. He just has lost a lot of mobility. And last week, he suffered from some of the same things I described my previous post. It's easy to over look when you win though. I do expect him to have good games, but I don't expect it consistently. I hope though. He is playing with bruised ribs, which is very painful and limits your range of motion. If he's not good enough to be out there, then that is a decision for Red to make.
I've had bruised and three broken ribs numerous times...
They have improved, but average or mediocre looks fantastic to us these days.
He just doesn't cut it. No matter what OL, you give him. And no matter what weapons.
Cowboys should have moved on.
37 yards rushing wasn't a factor? Romo completed 75% of his passes for 300 yrds. with mediocre pass protection at best.
Sorry to disappoint you, but the offensive pass-protection was pretty darn good. Romo seems hesitant to throw the ball at times. He holds the ball, looks really slow with no agility, and his arm looks weak. He looks like a different player. His accuracy was bad as well. He did have nice throws periodically through out the game, but zero consistency.
But if dez catches a perfectly thrown ball and goes 75 for a td like he should have, then I guess he cuts it?

Romo has been losing velocity on this throws for the past year and a half. The rotation on a ball is horrible, any pass that travels more than 20 yds in the air(from where he throws it) is slow. I'm not speaking of the passes with air under them, the straight line stuff, go back and watch the tape. There's just too much recovery time for the defender.
you can't dink and dunk your way to the play-offs.
