What is Romo's problem?

Romo also blew it in the 4th quarter with his putrid accuracy and his 2 yard dump offs.

Point is, Dez and Romo are both at fault. But this garbage of Romo being absolved from any blame is kinda sickening...

Romo's strange to watch when it comes to accuracy. When he's on, he's as pin-point as just about anyone not named Rodgers or Brees. I mean he was money in that first half. But he can really lose his accuracy for stretches. That next-to-last drive where he nearly threw back-to-back picks, what was he doing? He was late on throws, throwing behind Witten and just making strange decisions when you're trying to drive down the field needing 10 yards on third down.

the room haters are so happy right now. But in reality the fact that we could not run the ball was the biggest reason for our loss.

But it is much easier and simpler for the haters just to blame Romo and no one else.

Romo looked like he was hurting bad in the 4th quarter. His body language was that of someone who was not all there.

How do u explain the dart he threw to Austin against cincy then, or the beautiful touch pass to dez today?

If he steps into a throw it's fine, but anybody can step into a throw and fire it, arm strength is determined when you throw with feet set in the pocket.

The balls down the sideline to dez have air under them.

Dez dropped the second pass on a good throw, but if romo's first pass to dez is on target it goes for seven, instead of a circus catch. bad on each, and good on each.

Shortly after that, did you notice Romo completely throw the ball out of bounds with no pressure on him?

Yes all his throws to the left after his cutback on his scramble looked off. Something wasn't right.

By he still made the throw that would have been the difference maker to Bryant and he dropped it.

He completed 73% of his passes with no int.

Not only did dez drop a critical play but he also took himself out of the game in crunch time for no apparent reason.

Because of that kc blitzed and Harris picked up a false start.

the fact that we don't attack the 10-20 yd middle allows the defense to play run first, you'll never run the ball until you do. Next.......

To me, he's starting to get a bit skittish in the pocket and is starting to check-down more and more.

Early in his career, he'd stand in there forever or do his pocket magic to avoid sacks to prolong the play, but he's just not doing it anymore.

Age? Is it a lack of confidence in his OL? Too many injuries/hard hits? Probably all of them (some very understandable), but his resolve in the pocket is waning.

Yeah...what was that about? I'd assumed it was just a breather for him, but it seemed like a strange time to give that guy a breather.

I think the protection was, for the most part, ok.
I think Romo played hurt (somehow some are forgetting this) but also below standard.
I think the offense was out coached.

I also think KC has one of the very best defenses in the NFL..and was playing at home. I mean, where is that D's weakness?
As soon as they tried cover Dez with only Flowers, Romo threw to him for huge success. Though he should have gone there one other time..and Dez did drop one.
Then they draped him but had the personnel to cover up the rest to.

But the QB has played 3 out of 4 halts badly hurt this year.
Lets hope it gets better.

Only reason he didn't have an int today was a horrible call that bailed him out. He was almost picked again going late to witten (short).

I remember 06 in think it was when Brunnell beat or tied a record for completions in a row by checking down all game so completions % in it self is a pretty worthless stat that just about anyone can make look pretty if that's their goal

Well I have said my peace. The three biggest momentum changing aus in the game were the Dunbar fumble after picking up a 1st down, dez's drop and the mo p.i.

You guys have a good time blaming the qb amongst yourselves.

You think ROMO is getting happy feet like Cowboys Drew Bledsoe...... Think ROMO is second guessing every throw....just doesn't want to throw the PICK.

That has to be sarcasm right?

So when he all day to throw it no was open that is called no separation. I wish I had the all 22. What else could it be then?

I'm going try and apply some logic to this beyond the numbers of the game today.
Tracking back on the Romo timeline.

Signs a contract.

*Has surgery which keeps him from getting crucial practice reps during off-season.

*Reports to camp over weight and out of shape.

*1st team offense gets barely 2 quarters together during the preseason. Roughly 8 quarters and 10 all together in live action.

*Suffers badly bruised ribs, which can and will affect throwing, especially if they get nicked. Pretty sure that occurred today.

Add it all together a recipe for a slow inconsistent start. Not excuses here, just logic.
