What is the one thing you can't tolerate driving?

Entitled pedestrians. I hate people who simply walk out in front of cars as if it is the drivers responsibility to know they are going to do that. I really hate people who are texting and not paying attention doing that. I absolutely can not tolerate parents who do this while their kids are right there following them. It's literally all I can do to stop myself from getting out of the truck and slapping the piss out of those people.

Yes, we should all try to be as careful as possible not to hit these dullards, of course we do not want to see anybody die but at some point, those brain cells gotta kick in people. None of that matters if I can't stop quickly enough. You will still be dead and what happens after that, well, does it really matter?

Folks need to figure it out.

Edit: drivers who stop in the straight lane to turn when there's a median for that
Add more to my list

-So today on the way home I'm coming up to a light that has a right turn only lane open up, and is a decent distance before the light. So I get over when it opens up and there's one van a few cars ahead of me still in the right "straight" lane and the light has been green the entire time. For whatever reason they start braking with no other car, person, or animal in the area. As I'm within 2 cars of before turning off the next road this van practically stops in the 45mph straight lane and decides to get over as I'm about to be next to them. I was already questioning their stupidity so I was ready to stop completely, which I did, let them get over and make their turn.

And another thing:
-People who slow down to 5-10mph under the speed limit when a cop ends up in traffic with them. Can't tell you how many people and cops I've passed when the lane opens up because of scared drivers. In some areas cops can give you a ticket for going under or for impeding traffic in the left lane regardless of your speed, it's too bad they don't enforce that all the time because besides being annoying to everyone else it greatly impacts any emergency vehicle that may be trying to get somewhere.

Downtown NYC around 8:30 a.m. is pandemonium with pedestrians. They don't care if the Don't Walk signal is flashing. They just keep coming en masse, while you're trying to take the short opportunity to turn. It's like parting a school of fish. They try to ignore your front bumper, then when they realize you're not stopping they throw their hands up, turn around and go back to the sidewalk.

Yeah, you can tell the people who are used to speeding, because if there's a cop they hit their brakes and slow down 10 mph, even if they weren't speeding.

Brother, I do not envy you. I'd be in prison, if I lived in NY, by now. I'd have had to kill somebody!

LA is just as bad as NYC, if not worse pedestrian wise. Not only are clueless people wandering through traffic, there are some weird intersections to boot. I almost hit someone many times due to having to pay attention to a 6-way stoplight(to turn right) and a person in a blindspot just trots right in front of me playing on their phone. It is seriously like playing frogger out here.

Two things.

1. Tailgaters
2. People who won't speed up no matter how close you ride behind them.
If someone is behind me i speed up and try to get over. If they turn into an arse i call on the horses. I have plenty.

More often than not, I just ignore them and go about my business........Sorry, that's a lie. If they get on my ***, I'll usually just decide that it's very unsafe to travel so fast with someone on my ***, and I'll slow down more and more, until they realize that they're causing themselves to go even slower than they were when they first got on my ***. If they start going off and flashing their lights and giving me the finger, etc., I giggle my *** off.

:angry:putt-putters....they wait til the last second then pull out in front of me and then just putt-putt along under the speed limit.
:angry:texters....can always spot them...usually in front of me....weaving and going under the speed limit.
:angry:no signal lane changers....wow...look at you.....you got to the red light before me.
:angry:tail-gaters....one of these days im gonna become a putt-putter.
:angry:good samaratins....yes....lets wait....and let EVERYBODY in and out.....and this one....and that one...and this one...and that one....hey,this one looks nice....lets wait for him to pull in...or out.
its not like i dont need to be any where.....lets just sit here and LET THEM ALL IN.....AND ALL OUT.
HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN...WE'LL WAIT...FOREVER.
:angry:night vision people.....you know....you see them...6 in the morning...or 8 or 9 at night....WHO THINK THEY DON'T NEED TO TURN ON THEIR DAMN HEAD-LIGHTS BECAUSE THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE NIGHT VISION.
well guess what....i dont.
and i cant see your dumb-*** so TURN ON YOUR HEAD-LIGHTS.
then they get in a accident and everybody cries for their dumb *** because they dont need headlights to drive early before sunrise or at night....and the real story is it's their fault for being stupid.

hey, you’re not bad for an Elvis groupie :muttley:

I agree that pedestrians should always use common sense just for the sake of self preservation, but it is the driver’s responsibility to yield to them at crosswalks. It’s the driver’s responsibility to be aware of the environment (e.g. stop signs, traffic lights, bike lanes, pedestrians path/crosswalks, et cetera).

I’m a bicyclist but one thing that annoys me is when I’m driving and someone cycling in the bike lane basically rides the bike lane separation line or is even outside of it.

Here’s one that people that don’t ride bikes should understand.

If you’re driving and coming to a four-way stop and you arrive at apx. the same time someone on a bike is coming from another direction, let the person on the bike ride through first.

Why?

Because it will take longer for you if the person on the bike has to stop and then startup again and you have to wait for them to get up to speed and pass before you go.
