What Made You A Cowboys Fan?

Week 17 of 94 when Emmett balled with a seperated shoulder did it for me. How about the rest of ya'll?

Ah, lad.
The unis!!! The stars!
Blimey! Their uniforms were modern in the old days. Boring Rams heads, steelers diamonds that seemed quickly as outdated as lava lamps! Green Eagles? Commanders icons that seemed better suited on a baking powder box? Nonexistent logos of the Browns, Giants, Packers or a cute little cardinal's head? The No. 49 that yielded to an ugly little miner? An adorable dolphin that feels more suited to CeaWorld (C for captive) and poor performing mammals? A c for the Bears? Very inventive. ***?
Now compare them to the Star! Come mpare them to the
Cowboys' unis that are agelessly modern. Silver, white and blue.
Timeless elegance.
Blokes, I canna type further, me tears obscure me Hollywood bedroom eyes. . . .
Tears of gratefulness that stain me "Tri-State Trailer Hitch
Expo" T-shirt. . . .

I saw the ice bowl - lived in Iowa then dad was huge GB fan - so I turned to the cowboys then moved to Dallas in the late 80's

had cousins in ARK so became a fan of them

Bob Hayes was the WR who gave me the impetus to become a Cowboys addict. That was back in 1965, when football wasn't for those NFL players and QBs who weren't looking to expect any mercy calls from the refs. Inflicting pain and receiving it was a constant back then to a far greater degree than what we see today. Bullet Bob ran past DBs and left them standing like they were standing still. He changed the way defensive backs played in the NFL. The zone defense was largely the result of DCs creating a way to cope with his blazing speed.

I sense a rebellious streak in you.
I and Xwalker will keep an eye on you. Perhaps someday you can join me cabal of painted face ruffians from the highlands . . .

And let me say that the Ark. cousins remark bothers me ....

He probably means that firing Landry signified a commitment to excellence and the end of a tired regime that grew resistant to change.

Oh yes I know and the person who accomplished that is Jerry Jones.
