What Makes Dak Irreplaceable?

Dak was pressured on 42 percent of his dropbacks Sunday.

Tua was pressured on 5 percent of his dropbacks Sunday.

Whoever was blocking for Tua either was better than the Dallas offensive line, or the Cowboys defense did a horrible job.

Either way, the only logical thing to do here is blame Dak. I mean he clearly should have disappeared when Edoga let Bradly Chubb run freely at him three times. Be better, Dak.
Tua was getting rid of the ball pretty quick also.

Maybe Dak is dumb and don't see things as fast as Tua?

Of course it has nothing at all to do with the fact Tua had wide open receivers half the time and Mike McCarthy could not even scheme ways to get Lamb and Ferguson involved for two quarters.

No, no, it's our stupid quarterback. Because remember, when the Cowboys win the team carries him to a participation trophy. When the Cowboys lose, the team has nothing at all to do with it anymore and Dak failed.

I always see "But if not Dak then who?" type of replies to basically anyone not happy with Dak as the QB for the Cowboys.
Eminently reasonable replies to repetitive, trollish, empty-calorie threads containing no critical thought whatever, nor any alternative to the situation complained of.

Dak is too inconsistent to win anything. The right team around him would be #1 defense, #1 running game, #1 offensive line. #1 in turnovers. And than how are you going to pay all those guys when Dak is demanding #1 money. It's time to move on from him.
This TEAM is too inconsistent. The problem with this season so far is mistakes/penalties, no run game, poor o-line play, poor run stop defense. Dak has had 2 bad games (Cards and 49ers). Name me another QB in the league that hasn’t this year? Dak doesn’t need #1 everything around him. He does need similar teams that Matt Stafford, Joe Flacco, Nick Foles, and Eli Manning had around them.

There are four QBs that played this year that have Super Bowl rings (Stafford, Mahomes, Flacco, and Rodgers). Every other QB is in the same situation as Dak… choking when it matters most. If winning Super Bowls was all about the QB, Rodgers would have as many as Brady. This is a team sport and you win Super Bowls with complete teams who make very few mistakes.

Tua is just smarter than Dak at reading defenses and seeing things.

That's why Tua can have what? 3 missing O-linemen? And still get things done.

now you got it. Why can't he throw with anticipation? The wr's for the dolphins hadn't even made their turn and the ball was out.
I dunno, who's better at getting separation, Tyreek Hill or Michael Gallup?

Tua didn't have to throw with anticipation because there were wide open guys all game long. Even their TE Smythe or whatever his name was roaming free over the middle.

When his guys weren't wide open Tua was sailing the ball ten feet over their heads out of bounds. That's why Miami ended up kicking four field goals.

What makes him irreplaceable in the eyes of those with that mindset? Are there people that really think Dak's skill and ability is SO high that he can't be replaced?

What skill or talents sets him apart from say..... Joe Flacco off the couch?
He is not irreplaceable. No player is irreplaceable because at some point they will all have to be replaced. But at the same time, competent QBs don't grow on trees. Its not like if they let Dak walk the team would have a down turn. Of course they will. Joe Flacco was home, then riding a bench. No one thinks Joe Flacco can play a 17 game season and win a championship.

If the Cowboys are lucky, Trey Lance develops into a decent QB, but even that is a long shot despite his 1st round draft status. After Aikman retired, what happened to the Cowboys and the QB position?

I am not saying Dak is a great QB. I completely understand his limitations. I would not have signed him to his current contract if I was calling the shots. But I suspect all the Dak haters would be venting at Jerry for not having a QB when the Cowboys are suffering consecutive 6-11 seasons.

hum, I guess the announcer's comments and the replays didn't happen. The Mandela effect?

How many field goals did we kick? I can't remember.

Mac Jones's ability at reading defenses and seeing things have never be brought into question.

Mac Jones with Dak's offense would win a Super Bowl.

Quick! Name Mac's WRs, TE, and RBs.... we're not even gonna talk about o-line.....
But when Dak was missing three o-linemen it was no excuse. in 2018 when Dak's receiving corps was Allen Hurns, Tavon Austin, and Deonte Thompson it was no excuse.

What happened to a quarterback needing to elevate the team around him? Guess that only applies to Dak so as to support an agenda........

Cooper Rush was winning games without Smith or Martin and ya'll hate him to this day for it.

Cooper Rush spits on your excuses for Dak.

Who ever said I hated Cooper Rush?

You're literally saying Mac Jones would win a Super Bowl here and the guy couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.

You've said countless times that elite quarterbacks make the team around them better because that's what they are supposed to do. Yet here you are making the same excuses for a dog-turd QB in Jones that you endlessly bash Dak Prescott fans for making.

Dakota just doesn't process his reads quickly enough. Horrible footwork and has consistency issues with reading coverages. He will never lead Dallas to a SB.

Your "If Dak can't do it then nobody can" mentality is telling you Mac Jones couldn't win here.

Who said Mac Jones is elite? Why you making stuff up?

Dallas doesn't need an elite QB. Dak sucks that bad.
