Dak scoring 20 points is ok with you ???
Dak leading a long TD drive to take the lead on the road with the game on the line means nothing??

Can this defense that is supposed to generate all these sacks and takeaways not get one - ONE - stop with the game on the line? Are they not accountable for wins and losses, only Dak?

In the NFL you're not getting 30-40 points every week. 20 was enough to beat the Chargers a couple months ago because the defense played well. Was Dak the problem in that game too?

Romo's foot was step on by his own lineman when threw that pass otherwise thats a completion.
Even if that wasn't the case Romo threw for 500 yards and 5 TD that day. And this guy is blaming Romo for that loss

While completely absolving Dak of any responsibility for today's loss where we scored 20 points.

A poster's agenda has never been more transparent than this. It's there for any and all to see

As a Romo fan and Dak fan, Romo had a turnover in that game that directly led to the loss. Dak did not turn the ball over today and the Cowboys were winning the last time he was on the field.

Dak deserves blame for plenty of losses over his career but today was not it. I don't know why it's so hard to admit the defense blew it. It happens.

Romo threw a pick which is why we lost to the Bronco's that year. I had never once felt confident in Romo in the playoffs. And same can be said about Dak.
Romo has cost the team some games, but that particular example is silly. The Defense let the Broncos score on every.single.possession. At least Dak has a defense that can make stops. The problem is that both had O-lines that suddenly stopped doing their job, the defense stopped doing it's job and they felt the need to make plays that weren't there because they knew they couldn't trust certain parts of their team, forcing mistakes.

It is what it is. It's hard to win a game that the defense fails to make one single stop on. I'm not defending Romo or saying he's done anything of note, I just think that's a silly example you chose.

Romo couldn't get it done. Dak is looking like he'll never get it done either. That's just the way it's working out. (No, I'm not blaming Dak for THIS loss. He's caused enough of them over his career so far though. )

Yet Dalton and Rush were the problem when they scored that much and hold on……. Actually we’re winning.

The Dak lovers came out and said they needed to score 30 pts a game to win in the NFL.

Turnabout is fair play my friend.

The last time Dak set foot on the field today the Cowboys were winning after he led a 17 play do or die drive.

The defense blew it. So the solution is get rid of Dak.

Isn't that kind of like scratching your nose when your butt itches?
This made me laugh, not because you’re wrong but it was clever what you said. Using your clever analogy that I am jealous I didn’t come up with. What if the problem is your butt and your nose itch?

The problem with Dak is he doesn’t play great consistently and he doesn’t play poorly consistently. So he gives us false hope.

The problem with the defense is they don’t play great consistently and they don’t play poorly consistently. Again giving us false hope.

My concern is paying Dak 53-55 APY, or whatever Burrows got, would hurt us with fixing the defense. Also Dak has proven to play poorly in the playoffs. So is it wise to extend him with his playoff record? I don’t think it is.

They held the leagues leading scoring offense to 10 under their average

23 points wins this game

Thats an offensive failure. Period

Dak is a nobody. He feast on crap teams and literally always fails against better teams. I’d rather save the money for other players and play cooper rush. Literally no difference 9n the win loss column , we wil, stil, feat the easy teams and lose to the better teams.

I always see "But if not Dak then who?" type of replies to basically anyone not happy with Dak as the QB for the Cowboys.

What makes him irreplaceable in the eyes of those with that mindset? Are there people that really think Dak's skill and ability is SO high that he can't be replaced?

What skill or talents sets him apart from say..... Joe Flacco off the couch?
His leadership, duh.

When Dalton was the QB the Cowboys had one of the worst defenses in franchise history. When Rush was the QB the Cowboys scored a grand total of nine touchdowns in five games. The defense carried them to a 4-1 record.

I mean if the Dolphins miss any one of their 50-plus yard field goals today is this conversation even happening? Every game and every season is unique. The Cowboys lost today because they could not get a defensive stop when it mattered. Period. End of story.

Extending Dak significantly lowers his cap hit. He may be on the books for 53-55 APY but his actual cap hit would be spread out over the long term. Add that to the annual cap increase and the damage a new Dak deal has is mitigated even more.

The Cowboys will have plenty of money to make whatever moves they want to fix the defense. Problem is they have to want to fix it. Remember this past offseason when they had over $20 million of cap space and decided not to spend it.
