What pass rushers are left?

Jason Jones, Mike Neal, Quinton Coples, Andre Branch, Wallace Gilberry

If we can sign 2 of them we really aren't in bad shape going into the draft. The problem is that I have very little confidence that we will sign any of them at this point.

Maybe. But again, the sense of urgency needs to be there right now. Like today. Not scheduling a visit on Monday. Maybe next week. Not sure.

If getting jilted by Long did not wake anybody up, it should have.

Branch is clearly the most appealing. I would get him signed right away, at least he is somewhat young. Coples? Not sure why everyone keeps dropping his name, I don't think he is capable.

Mike Neal is more of a run stopper, not a rusher. Jason Jones and Gilberry are your Mincey types but even slower.

Yeah, he can get 0 sacks from anywhere!

But he was injured! Yes, that's it.

He had to have surgery to take bone chips out of his elbow! If not, he could have got, well, six sacks! Good enough for me!

I would rather go into the season with a bunch of clueless rookies than bring back this subpar player.

Have to give him credit though. He has been able to parlay mediocrity into a good little haul of $3.5M and might get another $1.5M just for being able to breathe at this point.

There's no way I can answer that, because i don't know. Nobody would have called in a million years that 2014 would turn out the way it did. Especially because things were looking so dismal during the off-season. So we cant rule it out from happening

So we can't rule out last year's 4-12 either, right? Nobody saw that coming either.

He's quite the con man, especially with the fans. They'll believe Mincey over anything anyone else says about Greg Hardy, despite the fact that Mincey's selfish attitude has gotten him bounced from half a dozen teams already.

I was actually happy last year when Mincey ultimately got that money. And then he repaid the team by doing nothing but making excuses all year.

I'd rather roll the dice that Ryan Russell can do anything than to have Mincey back on the team.

I just don't want to see their failure to sign any options lead to another failure with the #4 overall pick.

Only about 20 DLs in the Draft that are worth 2nd round choices.....so "we're DOOMED!"

Yeah, because as those without a clue know, rookie defensive linemen tear it up as soon as they enter the league.

Tear it up!

Two of them?

Oh, I don't know about that.

Those darn free agents. They cost money.

Yeah, he can "contribute" 0 sacks.

Let him just concentrate on the run then and get Lee, McClain and Scandrick to blitz the QB.
There is more than one road to Dublin and more than one way to get sacks.

Because that's what Rod Marinelli does...

You just jump from one ramble to another.

They changed the OL scheme last year mid-season and Marinelli can adjust his scheme if necessary. He
wants to win doesn't he. You have to play with who you have.

Maybe you should be telling Marinelli this?

I thought they had great success in sending linebackers in that first game against Washington, but I saw very little of it done for the rest of the season. It's just not the 'Rushmen' way. For a guy that wants to sacrifice everything else for 'getting upfield', I sure don't see enough of it happening.

WDE- Lawrence, Branch, Gregory
SDE- Bosa, Neal, Russell

No saying I like it, or that's how I would have planned it what so ever, but I do think that could be good enough with a little luck. It's not pretty, but it shouldn't be quite doom and gloom yet. I'm by no means happy with this off season so far either though.

He will have to adapt if he has no rushmen. He's a coach. Eberflus is there and being elevated. Marinelli will have to be creative with
who he has on the team. Offense has to stay on the field more in 2015 to have any chance. If they do, I think they will win the division and
at least make the playoffs.
